Passable
If you like softcore this is not bad. Unfortunately, there is too little of Jacqueline Lovell, who is the only real standout in the whole video. If you are bored by most softcore, this one will not do anything for you.

Another one of the early Surrender Cinema must have videos.
Lolida 2000 ranks up there with Virtual Encounters 1, Virtual Encounters 2, and Femalien as one of the "must have" softcore videos that they released in the last half of the 1990's.

This is what softcore is supposed to be. The women are beautiful, the [physical] scenes are plentiful, and the action stops just short of actual hardcore. My favorites scenes were the prison cell lesbians and the totally gratuitous encounter between the 1950's lovers in the diner.

This is an easy recommendation.

Now if only someone would do DVD releases of Surrender's two other A-list titles ("Exotic House of Wax" and "Hotel Exotica") all would be right in the world.

T&A which by me is okay!
Awful everything, but the girls are hot (especially the blonde that always gets tied up... and gets all hot bothered when she's with some guy who's also in the movie and she takes it out in him in a rather satisfying way) and the scenes are energetic and tops for the softcore genre.
If you're watching this for other than a cheap thrill, you might as well look somewhere else. This movie has only one thing to offer, big-breasted bimbo's itching to have their shirts and other clothing items torn off.

Erotic science fiction at its best
In this erotic science fiction film from the folks at Surrender Cinema, fan favorite Jacqueline Lovell plays Lolida, a former employee of an organization dedicated to finding and destroying anything possessing the least bit of sexual content. Now, she is on the run from her former employers, carrying with her a number of video "stories" that touched her (and caused her to touch herself) and made her realize that the very knowledge she was destroying should actually be spread far and wide. To that effect, she produces three of these stories for the benefit of whoever may be receiving her transmission. The three individual stories are quite strange, involving alien abduction, a female pilot's imprisonment on a distant planet, and a man caught in a "time slip." Featuring a significant number of impressive softcore scenes, these three stories manage to be interesting as well as provocative. It is unfortunate that Jacqueline Lovell serves as little more than lovely narrator herein, but some scintillating performances from the likes of Gabriella Hall do much to assuage one's disappointment. Lolida 2000 is yet further proof that Surrender Cinema makes the best erotic movies in the business.

Lolida 2000
I saw this movie under a different title "O Lita 2000" Same story. Jacqueline Lovell is beautiful as always. She hosts this movie with viginettes throughout. One is of a woman (Gabriella Hall) who was kidnapped by aliens and her memory returns about what happened onboard the spaceship. A man travels through time and has sex in each time period. My favorite was the Female Space Traveller (Chandra) who gets caught by a xenophobic race and put through sexual torment of the brain.

Ms. Lovell has a solo pleasure scene to round out the film. Seeing Jackie's body is always a treat for this fan! ... Read more

More Humorous Than Erotic - Manara's Butterscotch on Film
This movie is sort of a sequel to the Butterscotch graphic novels by Milo Manara. An aspiring actor finds an invisibility formula in a home where he is hired as a waiter. Clumsy fingers result in him being covered in the formula and becoming invisible.

Having been dumped by one girl earlier in the day, he finds himself being thrown together with a new girl right away (another actress). Little does he know that someone else has discovered the formula and become invisible.

The story starts in LA btu then moves to London and finally Italy. Sex, ghosts, auditions, and a meeting of the invisible men fill out the story.

(...) Many are viewed through scenery such as cobwebs and wine racks. The wine cellar is interesting as it starts in LA and winds up in Italy. Some sex, some laughs, some dizziness. . .
This is a sex movie that doesn't take itself seriously and is not too graphic. It has some funny one liners. Most of the actresses are attractive.

That being said, Who the hell thought up the idea of moving the camera in a circle around the sex scene a hundred times in a row? It isn't stop action photography like in the Matrix. That might actually be cool comparatively. This technique is sooo stupid. To all you softcore camera people out there, "Stop doing this!" I don't want to feel like I am on a playground mary-go-round watching people have sex.

There are better softcore movies out there.

Who the heck cast the male lead for this movie???
I think he's a Hispanic guy of some sort, but he's so unfunny and geeky I just fast-forwarded all of his speaking parts. (Mind you these movies are not unfamiliar with the fast-forward button... Yao Ming?)
Regardless, what's her face is sexy as usual, but when she transforms and goes into the sauna with another chick and... well I DON'T WANNA RUIN ANYTHING... but yeah. They don't just talk about the weather.
The unrated version shows some shlongs which I really didn't need to see, but hey you can use it as an excuse to show your girlfriend.
I thought the best scene was the scene where the gym owner gets some of the female antagonist in his office. It is a really hot and steamy scene... very believable.
Some of the girls are a bit ugly side (check out the one in the juice-pouring part) and some of the guys in the cast are just boys (see the exercise bike scene) which I thought was a bit strange.
A mixed bag with questionable casting but some good, memorable softcore/semi-hardcore scenes.

Funny and enjoyable
Fantastic DVD, definitely not rated....Nice girls, funny. Must own one yourself before out of print.

Lives up to expectations
This movie was about what I expected. In some scenes it even exceeded the average soft-core fare. Jacqueline Lovell was entrancing as always.

Buy "Unrated" and not "R"
After reading the above review I decided to look over at the Amazon.uk site and found the "unrated" version of this movie. Plenty of steamy scenes and, though I never saw the VHS version, I don't think much was cut. I would have liked to have seen alot more raunch, down & dirty with Dana Plato but it wasn't like I came away disappointed. One just need be careful to buy "unrated" and since the US has many hang-ups in that area, one might need to buy certain titles from Amazon outside the US.

Cut TO pieces.
I had seen this Film previously, and enjoyed it. So When I bought it, I expected to see the film again. I did not. There are entire scenes missing. And I am bitterly dissapointed. If I had bought this in the UK, I would be protected by the trade descriptions act. As I bought it from the US site, I think I have been done out of my hard earned cash. Suffice to say, dont buy this film.... cause you want get what you paid for.

Different Strokes
This movie was spectacular because aside from being the best actress ever she is also the hottest woman ever. I recomend this for any Dana Plato fan.

What 'yu talkin' 'bout? This movie is horrible!!!!
I brought this video so my boyfriend and I could watch it together, thinking it was going to be pretty intense and racy. What a disappointment! The extent of the raciness was showing Dana Plato and her co-star topless. In addition, there was very little "activity" going on between the two of them. Even Mr. Drummond wouldn't be blown away by this movie. And the plot was so incredibly stupid. And sadly, throughout the whole movie I couldn't help but think Dana Plato was totally on something. Her eyes were open so wide that it looked abnormal.

I would advise anyone thinking about purchasing this movie to save their money; it's just not worth it.

Give this movie a chance!
If you like Dana Plato, you'll love this movie. She's a true star with such amazing personality and energy, that I enjoyed watching her. As far as the sexuality of the characters go, Dana holds her own. I recommend this video highly. ... Read more

Cinemax late-night movie
This is a "Cinemax type" of cable-tv-movie (late night on the weekend). It's a softcore skinflick. The Robin Hood premise is just an excuse to start each new scene and then get the girls naked, and it does have lots of naked girls throughout the entire movie. The naked girls are the same girls that I've seen in other "Surrender Cinema" movies that are shown on Cinemax" (for example....the same as The Erotic Time Machine movie by Surrender Cinema). If you wait a couple of years, this movie will probably be on late night cable tv (such as Cinemax). Is this movie for you? What were you expecting??
If you are looking for a 'Genius' movie here, it's like looking for a humpback whale in a swimming pool... This movie is a modest, campy fun flick. Not too great, some jokes do fall flat, but overall I liked most of the jokes, and the visuals aren't bad either.

Comedy soft porn at its best!
I rented this on video a few years ago with a group of friends, incorrectly titled "Sex Detective", and have been searching for it again ever since. I suspected "Sex Detective" was not the real name of the film, as it's about a spy, not a detective, but my search was fruitless - until today! I shall be ordering this film on DVD forthwith; it really is very funny and great to watch with a group of mates. The sex scenes are quite soft, but much better and more convincing than in a lot of comedy porn such as those Seduction Company ones. As a Bond spoof it's great; classic scenes include the one in which Rod fights a duel in a brothel using a pair of vibrators which are crossed on the wall, and the scene in which Q gives him a selection of low budget gadgets because his department is running out of money. Quality!

Rod Steele DVD suffers from stolen widescreen
Yes, Bob Donovan does a cool Bond accent, but I'm still waiting for the proper DVD version of this film to appear. All we have now is a cheap pan-and-scan copy with the director's commentary drowned out by the loud audio of the main feature.

It ends up like a fuzzy version of some late-night Cinemax thing from the 1980s, borrowing heavily from the spy caper humor of the old 1960s Ted Mark paperback series.

Ironically, they also put out an unrated version, but they again went and butchered the picture in half, from widescreen down to standard screen. (Although I haven't heard if the audio on the director's commentary is similarly ruined on this version.)

I thought this naughty little gem deserved much better DVD treatment than this, especially since it wouldn't have cost much more to provide it.

The movie was originally shot in widescreen, so it could easily be reproduced as such. And it's simple enough to turn down the volume on audio track one, allowing you to hear audio track two. So why didn't they?

Sounds like a case for agent Steele himself.

It Seemed Just Silly
The James Bond voice is great, but that's about it for this show. The jokes are so trivial. I know it is supposed to be a mockery of Bond movies but it goes so far overboard it looses its humor. If you must, give it a shot, but be forewarned.

You've got to be careful...
...when you do camp for camp's sake. It's really easy to get completely stupid, and that's what this movie is. Agreed, Robert Donovan does a *killer* Sean Connery impression, but it was essentially a one-joke movie, and that joke got kind of tired, kind of quick. I don't usually spend movie time talking on the phone, but I couldn't help it. I was bored, and wanted to let a friend know that John La Zar (Dr. Fez), who played Z-Man in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" (are you looking for a campy sex-flick? Watch that instead, it's pure genius), was apparently alive and well, and none the worse for the time spent with Russ Meyer. pretty good
Shauna O'Brien and Gabriella Hall star in this flick about a woman who kills her husbands for their money. The story is put together well enough to get from one sex scene to the next, but the ending is put together rather hap-hazardly. Over all though, the two leading ladies are enough to captivate you.

One word: "It's the best!"
Ok, it may not be "The Best", but it was alright. Yeah, alright if you like bad acting, crappy, predictable storylines, and AWEFUL, cheese-ladened, synthesized musice during some of the "sex" scenes. What stands out in this film is Shauna O'Brien. She is most enhanced in this movie, but I still thought she looked really, really hot. Worth the price of the disc in my opinion. Gabriella Hall was tasty as per usual and does an interesting scene with a guy and alot of paint. I don't buy these movies for the storylines so I am not to critical on that, I rate them by the hotness of the babes and the simulated sex scenes. This flick delivers fairly well on both fronts. ... Good softcore film
The premise of Alien Files (Hot girls being exposed to an alien fungus that produces nymphomaniacal clones of them who infect other hot girls) is hokey, but that's ok because the plot is not exclusively what makes this movie good. There are numerous hot babes in this film that unabashedly and eagerly get naked, making the silly plot superfluous--but because of this the film is comical. All of these girls could be in the pages of Penthouse magazine and must all have at least 35D breasts: There's a hot blonde, brunette, auburn, and an asian, and all of them partake in different scenarios of seduction when they are exposed to the alien fungus. The funniest scene is when an uptight and square coke-bottle-lensed bespectacled asian girl playing the doctor on the spaceship is exposed to the fungus and lets down her hair and becomes a sex maniac who reveals her hot hardbody. It's interesting that she isn't wearing a bra or underwear beneath her otherwise nerdy attire, perhaps revealing that beneath the virginal exterior a vixen has been waiting to burst out.

And the academy award for Best Writhing in a movie goes to..
It's not Citizen Kane, but I'm sure you know that going in. That aside, Alien Files is enjoyable and highly erotic, featuring numerous lesbian scenes, love scenes, and lots of attractive women writhing and convulsing in ecstasy.
The plot concerns an sexually charged alien virus that clones every woman it infects. The clone seduces and makes love to as many people as it can, while the original girl, telepathically linked to the clone, spends most of her time squirming around and moaning. Its silly, but its all just an excuse to see a bunch of sex scenes intercut with the same actress, alone in a room somewhere, flopping and writhing around on the floor, half naked. And there alot of them. In fact, every actress in this movie has to perform some sort of gratuitous writhing act. Auditions must have been interesting.
All of this occurs in the unrated version. The r-rated version was butchered heavily, much of the sex, and just about all of the writhing gone.

Don't Order This Version!
Don't make my mistake of ordering this version. The cover does not say whether it's R-rated or unrated, but it must have been heavily edited to take out all the good parts. I saw nothing but the back of the girls or quick, fuzzy glimpses of the front. Very frustrating & non-erotic. No comparison whatsoever to Femalien, Virtual Encounters, or Lolida 2000. Why would Amazon or MTI studio even want to sell this version thru internet is beyond me since it only hurts the sale & marketing of the unrated version. In any case, I'm glad I only paid $9.99 for it, but plan to ship it back to Amazon & ask for replacement in the unrated version. (By the way, the plots are silly & the acting is mechanical, but that's not what I'm complaining about.)

Really good softcore, X-Files parody.
Alien Files is a fun, sex filled, softcore parody of the X-Files television series and movies like Species. It's the way the stories for all softcore should be done, because basically, it's just an entertaining vehicle for an almost non-stop parade of sex scenes and hot looking women taking of their clothes and pleasuring themselves.

A spaceship finds an unknown fungus while on a mission. The fungus is actually an alien life form in a dormant state. It infects a female member of the spaceship's crew. The alien subsists on human sexual pleasure, so it makes the female get really horny. She tears off all her clothes, smears alien fungus goo all over her body and brings herself to orgasm. The alien creates a duplicate of her body, where it runs wild on the ship, having sex with the rest of the crew and taking the form of a couple of the other female crew members along the way. When the spaceship lands back on earth, the alien escapes and two FBI agents must track it down for the rest of the movie. During all this, the alien has sex and changes female form several more times.

There are twelve sex scenes. Three are girl solo, one is girl/girl, and eight are boy/girl. However, a couple of those are pretty short and the girls keep their clothes on during the lesbian scene. The rest of the sex scenes are all good though. All the women are beautiful, with A list stars like Kira Reed, Blake Pickett, Kim Yates, and Gabriella Hall. The sounds of the actors/actresses are all audible over the music.

This is easy to recommend.

Wild.
Alien Files is fast and sexy. All the sex scenes are great, and unlike Surrender and Seduction cinema releases, the music doesn't drown out the love scenes. Cool cheesy plot, too. The redhead, Ravenelle Richardson, is hot! ... Read more

DO NOT BUY FROM KOCH!
Koch Vision Entertainment is practicing bad business! They fail to deliver the advertised product. As previous reviewers have stated, this is not TETM. It is the sequel, and a lame one at that.

Here's the pattern of recent Koch DVD Releases: "Deathbed" has no chapter select menu, and no special features except four trailers. "The Regina Pierce Affair" is also bear-bones, and the cover has some lady who isn't even in the movie! "Passion's Obsession" is also bear-bones and also has a lady not in the film adorning the cover. "Virgins of Sherwood Forest" is also bear-bones. "Hotel Exotica" claims to be the unrated version on the cover and the disk, but it isn't! It's the R-Rated version!

How many more Koch titles are crap? How many more will it take? How long will you bother to contact them, only to get the run-around and no straight answers? They are a poor excuse for a company, and I urge you not to give them any money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! I've learned my lesson. From now on, if you want to purchase good softcore erotica, stick with either Image Entertainment or New Concorde Home Entertainment. I have not been disappointed with them, and they deliver what they advertise. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I thought I was the only One!
Verified! This is not the Exotic Time Machine, it is the sequel. Cover is right, disc lable is right, even the menu is right, but when you hit play you get the sequel. I contacted the distributor and did get a response. Basically they promised to look into the problem and get back to me. It has been 2 weeks and I haven't heard a thing.

Review- Pretty bad! Glad I only spent $5.99. When I buy a movie like this I expect some laughs at how bad it is. This one just didn't make me laugh. Maybe I was too upset that it wasn't the right movie. Hopefully the correct title will be released and void this review, but in early '04 the cover of this DVD doesn't match the movie on the disc.

Anyway, if you saw The Exotic Time Machine PART 2 when it was originally on cable and liked it, here is your movie. This is the Director's Cut with more to it than I remember seeing years ago on Cinemax.

Wrong cover, this is the sequel !!!
When you order this film, you get the cover above, but not the same title on the disk. What comes out is actualy the sequal to this film, the ETM 2. I wonder when they will notice?
On the other hand, as there is only one reason to purchase this genre of movies, do not waste your money for disappointment. A few revealing scenes, by not-so-attractive girls, do not make this even a lame example. I wish they had sent the right movie...

The time machine's exotic, but the time travelers are erotic
Granted, there is some time traveling in this movie, but the science fiction element is really just a means to an end. This fact becomes pretty obvious as it only takes a few seconds for the shedding of clothes to begin. Leon and Daria are apparently serving on some kind of spaceship, one that houses the newly invented "exotic time machine." They quickly decide to mix business with pleasure (more his pleasure than hers, as it turns out), and Daria sort of accidentally sends Leon back in time to mediaeval France, where he pops up sans clothes in the very boudoir of Marie Antoinette. After watching Marie and her serving girl entertain each other, Leon finds his own ticket being served by the lustful queen; when the king shows up unannounced, Leon quickly finds himself shackled to a wall in the Bastille. Back on the ship, Daria's first attempt to find Leon and bring him back fails, as she finds herself hobnobbing with a sultan and his harem girls. Eventually reunited, the time travelers accidentally pay a visit to Al Capone and his lady friend in the hours following the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Arriving back on board ship, they realize that one of them has changed history quite radically, so they have to head back to mediaeval France to resolve the source of the unfortunate temporal dislocations their unapproved time traveling has caused.

The production value is actually quite good for a movie of this type; it even has a little of what I would call an artistic nature to it. The acting, what there is of it, is actually pretty good, the sets acceptably represent the different historical eras fairly well, and Gabriella Hall is exceedingly easy on the eyes. I just wish Daria had gotten as much screen time as Marie Antoinette did. The adult content of the movie, of which there is a somewhat surprising amount, places it somewhere along the border of NC17 material, so don't expect to see this movie turn up on the Sci Fi Network any time soon.

One of the best!
If you are fan of the soft-core genre, this is the movie for you. Even though the acting in these movies is not always Oscar calibre, the actors here seem to know this and have fun with it, the result is often humorous. The women are all very hot and there are some excellent simulated sex the likes of which I have rarely seen. The production is excellent for a b-type movie and you even get some funny out-takes at the end. I rate it 5 stars based on what you look for in a movie of this type which is extremely hot nude women and simulated sex scenes. This movie has PLENTY of both. ... Read more

Classy Erotica
I saw this series on TV in Europe and loved it and had to have the DVD's. The titles says it all but it's definitely a couples experience because it gives both parties what they want. Not explicit, some episodes are hotter than others with the ones on this compilation have a rather soft picture (it's an early DVD) so some of the detail that was there on broadcast is missing. The lighting is very well done and the story is threr for those who want it but we liked this a lot. Nicole Gian is very very appealing as the madam with Kira Reed and Kim Yates also appearing. I like the fact that some of the girls don't have your typical playboy look yet still are very attractive. PS- Volume 2 is even better. I hope someone releases more of these on DVD in the future ... EXCELLENT SOFT CORE EROTICA
I thought this to be an above avergae soft core film. Jenna Bodnar played her part well and se remains one of my favorites. I was a bit disappointed in Patrick Williams though; I thoght he over acted and was not convincing to me.
I thought the ending could have been stronger in that the portrait of the Jenna character did not seem to change much.

more perspiration than inspiration

Solid
This DVD was very good I think. It didn't have bonus features like some of the other Playboy DVD's, though. The women were very attractive and their were plenty of them. I reccomend this if you just like to see beautiful naked women because the " plot " was pointless. Even though I can't imagine anyone being interested in the story.

A few good scenes, but ...
This DVD wasn't good enough to buy. I rented it, and it had a few good scenes. As the previous reviewer mentioned, there is a nice Jacqueline Lovell bathtub segment with another girl here, probably the best segment of the whole DVD.

There were quite a few attractive girls here, but many were small-chested. If you have a preference for smaller women, you might enjoy this one. I don't remember seeing any Playmates or any other Playboy models. Most of the girls here were unknowns.

There were several scenes here, maybe 12 or 13, and some were cut together really short. One really cute Asian girl had a 1 minute segment only.

Another Playboy DVD that is worth a rental, but not worthy of buying and keeping in my collection.

I thought I'd see more "software"
This is a fair effort from Playboy. Most of the scenes involve women pushing away from their computers so they can dance about while removing their clothes. Pretty boring. Bad Script Sinks Sexy Thriller
This just-about-average erotic thriller is about as thrilling as having a hammer dropped on your head. Is the movie about: A) the problems of fidelity in the lives of an American couple? B)The pitfalls of gambling? C) The decadence of the wealthy? or D) lotsa wild, yet soft-X, sex?

I couldn't tell. All I was sure of was that the movie was a bare-bones rip-off of "Indecent Proposal", with a pointless mob subplot to prop up the unraveling story. Granted, Tane McClure and Gabriella Hall are hotties, and the sex scenes do have some steam, so the movie isn't a total disaster, but ultimately, there's just not much to recommend here.

Disappointed.
The movie appears to have been heavily edited. I have seen the movie on Cinemax and I recall more going on then this version has. Wait for an unrated version. The time on IMDB is 90 minutes and this version has 80 minutes. ... Read more

If you are looking for a 'Genius' movie here, it's like looking for a humpback whale in a swimming pool... This movie is a modest, campy fun flick. Not too great, some jokes do fall flat, but overall I liked most of the jokes, and the visuals aren't bad either.

Comedy soft porn at its best!
I rented this on video a few years ago with a group of friends, incorrectly titled "Sex Detective", and have been searching for it again ever since. I suspected "Sex Detective" was not the real name of the film, as it's about a spy, not a detective, but my search was fruitless - until today! I shall be ordering this film on DVD forthwith; it really is very funny and great to watch with a group of mates. The sex scenes are quite soft, but much better and more convincing than in a lot of comedy porn such as those Seduction Company ones. As a Bond spoof it's great; classic scenes include the one in which Rod fights a duel in a brothel using a pair of vibrators which are crossed on the wall, and the scene in which Q gives him a selection of low budget gadgets because his department is running out of money. Quality!

Rod Steele DVD suffers from stolen widescreen
Yes, Bob Donovan does a cool Bond accent, but I'm still waiting for the proper DVD version of this film to appear. All we have now is a cheap pan-and-scan copy with the director's commentary drowned out by the loud audio of the main feature.

It ends up like a fuzzy version of some late-night Cinemax thing from the 1980s, borrowing heavily from the spy caper humor of the old 1960s Ted Mark paperback series.

Ironically, they also put out an unrated version, but they again went and butchered the picture in half, from widescreen down to standard screen. (Although I haven't heard if the audio on the director's commentary is similarly ruined on this version.)

I thought this naughty little gem deserved much better DVD treatment than this, especially since it wouldn't have cost much more to provide it.

The movie was originally shot in widescreen, so it could easily be reproduced as such. And it's simple enough to turn down the volume on audio track one, allowing you to hear audio track two. So why didn't they?

Sounds like a case for agent Steele himself.

It Seemed Just Silly
The James Bond voice is great, but that's about it for this show. The jokes are so trivial. I know it is supposed to be a mockery of Bond movies but it goes so far overboard it looses its humor. If you must, give it a shot, but be forewarned.

You've got to be careful...
...when you do camp for camp's sake. It's really easy to get completely stupid, and that's what this movie is. Agreed, Robert Donovan does a *killer* Sean Connery impression, but it was essentially a one-joke movie, and that joke got kind of tired, kind of quick. I don't usually spend movie time talking on the phone, but I couldn't help it. I was bored, and wanted to let a friend know that John La Zar (Dr. Fez), who played Z-Man in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" (are you looking for a campy sex-flick? Watch that instead, it's pure genius), was apparently alive and well, and none the worse for the time spent with Russ Meyer.
