5-0 out of 5 stars No car chases, (...), you call this a movie!
Is blavis of Beaumont sure that his brain imploded after the film started! I am sure that Christian Bale is relieved that he was excluded from the crystal clarity of your in-depth and thoughtful review.

I suggest to any and all lovers of literature on film that you pass on the Top Ten favorite films of blavis of Texas and rent, buy or steal this film. You will not be sorry!

5-0 out of 5 stars Murder of Quality.....John Le Carre
Excellent film rendition of the novel, done with the subtle touches that give the educated a stimulating exercise of the "little grey matter".

The so called review by:Reviewer: blavis from Beaumont, TX United States confirms the prevailing lack of educated beings' in Texas and most of the Southern US. Such a pity in this day and age.

5-0 out of 5 stars Have not seen the movie
yet I feel sorry for blavis from Beaumont, TX United States. This person should stick to James Bond.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid Adaptation
The reviewer from Beumont, TX has no clue what he was watching. To watch this film without any knowledge of the unparalleled John Le Carre is folly. The reviewer didn't know that the so-called "ex-spy" was Le Carre's great hero - George Smiley, spy par excellence despite his failing in the social graces. If you are aware of Le Carre and Smiley, you will enjoy this movie. It is difficult to portray Le Carre books effectively, because of the depth of his characters, but this does a good job of portraying the Smiley character.

5-0 out of 5 stars A fine production
This is an excellent adaptation of John Le Carre's elegant mystery concerning Britain's class system and academia.

Beware though: not for the unintelligent. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Buy "Unrated" and not "R"
After reading the above review I decided to look over at the Amazon.uk site and found the "unrated" version of this movie. Plenty of steamy scenes and, though I never saw the VHS version, I don't think much was cut. I would have liked to have seen alot more raunch, down & dirty with Dana Plato but it wasn't like I came away disappointed. One just need be careful to buy "unrated" and since the US has many hang-ups in that area, one might need to buy certain titles from Amazon outside the US.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cut TO pieces.
I had seen this Film previously, and enjoyed it. So When I bought it, I expected to see the film again. I did not. There are entire scenes missing. And I am bitterly dissapointed. If I had bought this in the UK, I would be protected by the trade descriptions act. As I bought it from the US site, I think I have been done out of my hard earned cash. Suffice to say, dont buy this film.... cause you want get what you paid for.

5-0 out of 5 stars Different Strokes
This movie was spectacular because aside from being the best actress ever she is also the hottest woman ever. I recomend this for any Dana Plato fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars What 'yu talkin' 'bout? This movie is horrible!!!!
I brought this video so my boyfriend and I could watch it together, thinking it was going to be pretty intense and racy. What a disappointment! The extent of the raciness was showing Dana Plato and her co-star topless. In addition, there was very little "activity" going on between the two of them. Even Mr. Drummond wouldn't be blown away by this movie. And the plot was so incredibly stupid. And sadly, throughout the whole movie I couldn't help but think Dana Plato was totally on something. Her eyes were open so wide that it looked abnormal.

I would advise anyone thinking about purchasing this movie to save their money; it's just not worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Give this movie a chance!
If you like Dana Plato, you'll love this movie. She's a true star with such amazing personality and energy, that I enjoyed watching her. As far as the sexuality of the characters go, Dana holds her own. I recommend this video highly. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Boston Co-Eds Targeted for Breeding
A Boston college is the site of a spectacular meteor crash. For some reason the college head (she calls herself the principal) can only think of the cost of repairs. No one seems to understand the significance, scientific opportunity, or financial gain the meteorite could bring. The university staff consists of the principal, and art professor and a janitor. The art professor has a huge, multi-level apartment in one of the college buildings.

The meteor has brought a woman and a monster. The monster haunts some underground tunnels while the woman runs around. Eventually all of the girls on campus wind up wearing necklaces made from the meteorite. This makes them targets for the monster which wants to use them to further its species. The monster is violent but supposedly intelligent enough to pull off UFO abductions (year, right!).

Eventually the police are brought in as cannon fodder (aren't they always?) and the principal and art professor must face the monster and try to stop it.

The creature effects in this film are very well done and probably used the script budget as well as the effects budget. It is a pity to see a monster so well done and have the rest of the film so stupid. But this is one of those films that is so bad you just have to watch it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Should have read a book!
This movie is truly awful! To be fare I haven't seen the last 30 minutes. I used it to redeem myself for the hour of my life I had already forefeited to this corny ass movie!

2-0 out of 5 stars Mars Needs Women!
Well, maybe not Mars, but some sort of mutant/alien/supernatural creature/force/entity needs women. For what, we don't know, nor do we ever learn. Nor do we (somewhat surprisingly) get the expected exploding alien-baby from the body (a la Alien, Humanoids from the Deep, and a dozen others you could probably rattle off if you thought about it).

There's really not much to this film. It doesn't even have a lot of camp value. There is some, though: The breeders only take virgins and somehow in the midst of the metropolis (New York), all the female actors, from the teen dancer/ingenue to the 30-something doctor to the 60+ bag lady are all virgins.

But ultimately there's not much =there= there. The 1980 "Humanoids From The Deep" has a similar plot and a lot more camp value (and Doug McClure) if you're looking for something like this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Breeders
Get your head chopped off before watching this movie. It will help.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst movie ever!
I have always been a cheezy movie fan, and even I couldn't sit though this painful attempt at a movie. I rented it by accident, and had watched it w/ the hopes that it would get better & wouldn't be a waste of money, but to no hope. It's so awful that amazon shouldn't even sell it-it might taint the other movies. ... Read more
