5-0 out of 5 stars A Cult Horror Movie
This is an awesome two movie set-up. Even if the movies weren't scary. I don't care what any of you say, the first one was awesome. Its like one of those movies you could quote any line, from. I mean you got Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah MG, Freddie Prinze Jr, Ryan Phillipe. Its an awesome cast. The second wasn't as good, but hey its still worth watching. And Jack Black is in it, how could you go wrong.

I reccomend this movie for people who liked Urban Legends, SCREAM, Idle Hands, and all those other Horror movies from the late 90s. Its essential. Plus Kevin Williamson (Scream; Dawson's Creek) wrote the movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars The scariest!
I recently bought the package of both DvDs' and watched them both as soon as I arrived home. I loved them so much! The second one is my favourite, yet I liked the first one lot's to becuase Sarah Michelle Gellar is in it! The only thing I didn't like, is that you already know who the murderer is in both of the movies, like duh! Of course it's the fisherman! But I highly reccommend seeing, and buying it!
The first one begins with them running over a man, and then they start getting stalked and people die. Then in the end, Julie trusted the fisherman and went onto his boat where he plans to kill her.
The second one starts out with her at college iwth her mysterious friend will. Her friend Carla gets a feee trip to the Bahamas and Ty, Will, Julie and Carla go, when it's the storm season! The fisherman is there and kills everyone on the island (like 6 people) and then goes for Julie and her friends!
So you have to see this movie!

I Know What You Did Last Summer
A really good movie by screenwriter Kevin Williamson! It wasn't as good as SCREAM, but I think it has it's place in horror movie cinema.I really liked the characters.I wasn't that big on the dialogue, but the young fresh cast made up for it.Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze make up foe that.I liked how it wasn't that gory; it made it different from horror movies these days.I would definetly reccomend this movie to anyone who in the mood for a good scare.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Nowhere near as good as the first! The plot is very weak, but has some high points. The characters are kinda cool. The dialogue is cheesy, but It wasn't a total waste.I enjoy watching the ending to these movies they make me want to see more.I just didn't feel that with this one like I did the first one.I didn't really like the killers motive in this movie.I would had never guessed who the other killer was.If you have an hour and a half to blow then you might want to check this movie out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great film! SEE IT!
I thought I KNOW... was a terrific film. It's not the best at scaring. It has it's jumping moments but it still keeps you on your toes. I STILL KNOW... is more of a horror film. There is really no suspense but it's still great. NOT as great as the first film but still good enough. IT has it's scary moments too. I'm a little disappointed that I SITLL KNOW doesnt' have many special features. All in all the films are good and I highly suggest them. SEE EM!

2-0 out of 5 stars CAN WE SAY-CHEESY?
This late nineties light headed SCREAM/HALLOWEEN teen slasher knock-off is the worst thing to happen to slasher films since the early nineties!!!Part one was decent, except for Sarah Gellar who gets killed again! (Scream 2 and the season finale of Buffy weren't enough?) Part 2 has the annoying, terrible actress Brandi, who only helps the movie however, because she screams alot and the killer almost gets her like 3 times, so she has the 2 scariest scenes...although a decent sequel, the movie just doesn't seem to hold up, weak and meaningless, I think the series is cheap horror for fans of pure C.R.A.P. Please rent first! Don't do the mistake I did!!! ... Read more

As they celebrate their high school graduation, four friends are involved in a hit-and-run accident when their car hits--and apparently kills--a pedestrian on an isolated roadway. They dispose of the body and vow to keep the incident a secret, but a year later somebody starts sending them letters bearing the warning "I Know What You Did Last Summer." At that point the panicked foursome becomes the target of an elusive serial killer whose disguise consists of a fisherman's slicker and a lethal ice hook.Part mystery and part slasher flick, this thriller was heavily hyped as a follow-up to Scream by screenwriter Kevin Williamson (who later created the TV series Dawson's Creek), and like Scream it's a showcase for a teenage cast including Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar. And while this shocker isn't as inspired as Scream, it's guaranteed to give its target audience a few good thrills as it dives toward a routine climax of mayhem and murder. Based (rather loosely) on the popular novel by Lois Duncan. --Jeff Shannon ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you're going to bury the truth, make sure it stays buried
Yes, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" does seem like some corny teenybopper popcorn flick; but it's not. Believe me, I went into this film with pretty low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised with the level of terror provided! And it's not cheap terror, it's genuine because of the suspense director Jim Gillespie consistently builds.

It's the fourth of July and four friends Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Junior), Helen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Barry William Cox (Ryan Phillippe) are celebrating their high school graduation and Helen's beauty pageant win. On their way home they hit a man walking down a curved corner in the road. They panic when they learn he's dead and in hopes of saving their futures, decide to dump the body into the ocean. The four friends make a pact to keep it a secret. It was an accident, but it was one they cannot forget.

Their friendships are ruined and they all leave for college and don't talk to each other; they are all depressed and upset. When Julie returns home for summer vacation there is a letter waiting for her. It reads, "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Frightend, Julie goes to find her old friends for help. Was someone else there that night? They think it's only a prank until a man in a slicker with a hook begins to stalk the four friends and torment them in the most vile and disgusting ways imaginable (dead bodies in their trunks, cutting off their hair in sleep, trying to run them over, etc.

Realizing that if they don't find out who's doing this and get rid of him fast, they'll be dead, they search for answers, all the while receiving even more terrifying threats. It sure is a thrilling ride and there are a remarkable number of points in this movie when you jump in fright and scream!

One reason this movie is terrifying is because the situation the characters are in could happen to anybody. Hitting someone with a car could happen to anybody, and what happens after the crash is also believable. The acting by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ryan Phillippe are phenomenal coming from such young actors. These two are now big stars, but they weren't when they did "I Know What You Did Last Summer" so it's interesting to see how they were before they were famous. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Junior aren't quite as convincing as Hewitt and Phillippe, but they are still enjoyable.

The script for "I Know What You Did Last Summer" was adapted from Lois Duncan's best-selling novel by Kevin Williamson, the writer of "Scream". Yes, the script is in good hands! Williamson's script is a very visual one filled with twists, witty dialogue, and plenty of scares.

The DVD for "I Know What You Did" last summer values quality over quantity and provides only a theatrical trailer and commentary. The trailer is terrifying, very enticing and fun to watch. The commentary by director Jim Gillespie is very informative and insightful for fans of the film. It focuses mainly of production design, but has some interesting blurbs about music, casting, and script changes. Gillespie has a wonderful Scottish accent, which makes the commentary even more delightful to listen to.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Views on ikwydls (13 yrs old)
I loved I know what you did last summer. It was well thought out and had a great plot, not too mention the cast, Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr.did an excellent job portraying their roles in this thriller.
It all takes place after the Croaker Queen Beauty Pagent on the 4th of July after riding home from a night at the beach Barry (Phillippe)was drunk and leans out the roof, distracting the driver Ray, (Prinze Jr.) to crash into a man crossing the street. They take a quick pulse and announce him as dead, sure that they'd get busted for drunk driver if they went to the police they came up with a plan to dispose of the body, despite Julie (Hewitt)'s crys. This movie is full of twists and turns and the first time you watch it it will definitly be a thriller! Along with this I would also like to recommend scream, or I still Know What You Did Last Summer.. Some downpoints to this movie is that it has strong profanity that can sometimes roll on and on and after time get a bit annoying.. but if your not bothered by that I suggest that you rent or buy this movie. It is well worth watching!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsomly thrilling
I love this movie to DEATH. This is the best horror movie ever. It gory, but not to gory. It's scary. There is languge though, they have G-D in it 2, They have the F- word in it about 20 times, give or take a thew. The cast rock's. The cast is an inportant part of the movie, with an awful cast it ruin's the movie. But this movie seem's flawless. There is no sexual content in it, wich rock's for us younger viewers. Nudity, there is none. They had 2 oppertunitys for nudity, but they didn't take them, wich I think they have class for not doing it. All in all it rock's. But don't watch it on t.v. , it butcher's it.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Movie
This is the best horror movie you could see, If you love horror movies with scary dialouge, great actor's, dead bodies and gore then you'll love this movie as much as I do. I first saw this movie when I was getting ready to go to a party, I started watching it after it had been on for the first 10 minutes and didn't see the opening where they hit the man, and left when helen was at her show, I was mad that I had missed so much and that I had to leave, but when I got home and turned on my t.v., low and behold it was on again, but I still missed the begining, Then a few day's later, lucky me, my dad rented me the movie, (he didn't read the back) I wasn't allowed to see rated R movies then, and my mom couldn't read that it was rated R and didn't ask, the next day she found out and said I couldn't watch it again, AND IT WAS MY FAVORITE MOVIE! But now that I'm turning 14 I'm going to buy it! You should 2! There's are alot of profanitys and violence and gore. THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
