5-0 out of 5 stars Really good movie for families
I thought this was a really nice family film....reminded me of the old "good" Disney movies before they turned into crud

5-0 out of 5 stars We need more family films like this one!
What a concept -- a film that makes you feel good about life, even if it deals you a bad hand. Wind Dancer doesn't sugarcoat tragedy, but it shows how tough love, sacrifice and hard work can make things a lot better. I loved this message and want my kids to watch it again and again. Matt McCoy, Mel Harris, and Raeannin Simpson are fantastic. Not a lot of action, but a lot of heart. Kind of like real life!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wind Dancer ruled!
Wind Dancer rules, to bad the only action part in the movie was with the couger, i loved how Raeanin Simpsonplayed the character of Paige.

4-0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming, inspiring family entertainment!
As a Mel Harris fan from way back, I thought she did a great job in this film as the tough-but-compassionate therapist. Matt McCoy made a great dad, and the late, great Brian Keith was a perfectly credible rancher. It was an even-handed "message" movie about the strength of the human spirit, without being overblown and cliche-ridden. A really terrific little movie for the whole family, reminiscent of the early Disney live action films, when "heart" was more important than special effects. Well written, well directed. Amazing scenery, too! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Ripped Off
This film was produced under a SAG contract, but sadly, the distributors of this film - John Denver's last movie - have decided to avoid their responsibilities to the actors - and to this day, have failed to pay ONE PENNY in residuals to the talent which made this film come alive. They have ripped off the hardworking actors in this film to the tune of thousands of dollars!

Great script, great cast, excellent film for kids. But I would suggest that potential customers NOT support this film. Do not rent or buy this movie until the distributor pays the actors what they're due!!

Watch this space for updates!

5-0 out of 5 stars Walking Thunder
This movie is in the same genre as the old Disney movies like Old Yeller, a movie the entire family can watch together. Its about growing up. Its hopeful, and can open up the doors for conversation, if just one person tries. I've watched it with several family members who are not necessarily John Denver fans and they liked it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Affable "Generic" family-in-wild movie
If there's such a thing as a "generic" family-in-the-wilderness movie, this would be it. It's amiable, expertly done, with all the expected ingredients (yes, even a childbirth scene!). There's added interest, of course, in the fact that this was John Denver's last film (a fitting sendoff), and maybe the last project for narrator Bian Keith as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Family Fare
John Denver gives a fine performance in this oldfangled film.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Disappointing Package
"Walking Thunder" is a well-meaning, occasionally entertaining movie about a New England family's efforts to survive in the West after their wagon is demolished by a huge grizzly. The problem is that the movie, while clearly targeted at families, is at times disturbingly violent. The scenery is beautiful (shot on location in Utah), the costumes are authentic, but the performances are wooden and everything about the movie screams low budget. Many John Denver fans will purchase this movie for historical or sentimental value since it was his last film project. However, he displays little of the charm that he displayed in his debut, "Oh, God!" If you watch this movie, watch it for the heartfelt performance of Klara Irene Miracle as Denver's long-suffering wife or the quiet dignity of Chief Ted Thin Elk. The DVD features a host of extras; unfortunately, they range from disappointing (the director's commentary sounds like it was recorded on a tapedeck) to embarrassing (the amateurish "music video" featuring the unknown "Fresh"--does the world really need another boy band?). The kids may enjoy this for one or two viewings; after that, they will be requesting "Pokemon" again. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Animal Movie
My son and I really enjoyed this movie! It is heartwarming, inspiring, and spiritually thought provoking; albeit somewhat predictable at times. The really big plus is that the plot is believable and did not anthropomorphasize (give the dogs human traits/capabilities a la Stuart Little and Chiken Run)the dogs. Animal Lovers will rejoice.

1-0 out of 5 stars It's a miracle this dog made it to video...
I caught this stinker on Animal Planet, and found myself longing for re-runs of anything else that this previously respected cable broadcaster might have in their vaults. Now, to find that it's being released to video is the final insult to the integrity of the home entertainment industry. Oh wait, it's from UAV video, the company that specializes in producing ultra-low-end "knock-off's" of legitimate Disney films. What film are they copying from with Miracle Dogs? Perhaps next time they should copy a film with an interesting plot and talented actors.

5-0 out of 5 stars Our dog was an extra in this movie!
Our dog, Karli, was an extra in this movie for one of the scenes filmed at the Humane Society. We had adopted her and someone told us that several months later, so we just had to buy the movie. I'm hoping the extra scenes and "making of" part will have more of our dog in it. Of course, I would highly recommend you purchase this movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars wholesome family fun
This was a heartwarming movie that I enjoyed with my whole family. It was tender and funny and the dogs were really cute.

5-0 out of 5 stars Biased but still a great movie
I am the owner of the pups but still the movie itself stands on its own merits. Cute and a good family movie it is an enjoyable story. The pups are adorable as well and I feel like a proud father. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I first saw this movie when I was 11 (18 now) and it is my favorite movie of all time. It's everything I ever dreamed of -- I was a lot like that girl, and to meet with an indian spirit in the body of a wolf? Myth and reality blend into an amazing adventure; have I mentioned the beautiful scenery? Especially when you hear the scream of an eagle...anyway, there's also a ton of humor that cracks me up every time. I think I've rented this movie a dozen times. All of the characters work well together; especially the girl's father and sisters. If you like nature and Indian myth, you'll love this.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Film!
If you have children they need to see this film! Even though I am older I love this movie. It will make a great gift or stocking stuffer. So, go out and purchase or rent this movie...it is cute, funny, adventurous and wonderful!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kids Out-Smart the Bad Guys
No wonder my four kids love this film! The three children manage to outsmart, humiliate, and ultimately capture two very dangerous bank robbers who are hunting them down in the wilderness. There are many fun moments, and just the right dash of suspense to keep it moving. Put this tape on for your kids if you and your spouse would enjoy 90-minutes alone... it's a guaranteed kids-sitter!

5-0 out of 5 stars It was a great movie!
My mom helped me write this letter because I am only 7 years old. I think that THE LEDGEND OF WOLF MOUNTAIN is the best movie that I have ever seen. I especially like Mickey Rooney in the movie and wish that I could be in a movie like this some day. I recommend this movie for all children my age!

4-0 out of 5 stars For Kids
I used to like this movie a lot, but not so much now its bit more boring. I guess its because I watched it so many times before. I'm 11 and well I watched it alot when I was 6 or 7. ... Read more
