Description

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Fastlane, Beverly Hills 90210, Saved by the Bell) and Brian Austin Green star in this disturbing true-to-life story directed by My Life and Times' Christopher Leitch. Thiessen stars as Caitlin Rose, a teenager who joins the coolest group in high school, boosting her popularity and giving her a chance to get closer to Ethan (Green). But Caitlin's happiness is destroyed when she is raped by star football player Jace, Ethan's best friend. When she reports the crime, Jace vehemently denies what happened. Suspected of lying, Caitlin becomes an outcast. With no one else to turn to, Caitlin takes a chance and confides in Ethan. Will he turn against her too or help her prove the truth? The crime shattered her life. But what followed was even worse. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fighting For The Truth
This movie is so gooooodddd! I taped it off the lifetime network one day after seeing it months before. Tiffani plays a great role as a couragious and determined teenager who wants to see the people who hurt her get punished. Not only does she end up going against the whole town but she becomes outcasted and hurt by people she considered to be her friends. Brian Austin Green's character is awesome as far as dealing with peer pressure and in the end just going with what he feels. I cried in this movie and I laughed...it belongs on every girls movie shelf! I gurantee you will enjoy this movie as much as I do now!

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
I have not seen the DVD yet, but I remember when the movie first aired on NBC. I loved it and am sure I will enjoy the DVD as well. The movie was done while Tiffani Amber Thiessen and Brian Austin Green were costars on 90210 and living together in real-life, so the on screen chemistry that they displayed in this movie is both incredible and real. This is a great movie to teach women that they should fight no matter what, I can't wait to get the DVD. ... Read more

Teen Wolf is a flip-flop of the horrorific I Was a TeenageWerewolf story: this time, lycanthropy makes the afflicted high-schooler abig man on campus. An otherwise routine teen comedy, this one works because ofthe customary bounce of Michael J. Fox, in one of his first leading roles (itwas shot before Back to the Future but released in that blockbuster'swake, and cashed in nicely). Although his werewolf makeup makes him look morelike Bigfoot than Lon Chaney, Jr., Fox manages to convey his peppy personalityeven under all that hair. Teen Wolf Too, however, is not even bearable. Here Fox is replaced by Jason Bateman, who finds that his wolfish inclinationhelps him become the big dog on the college boxing team. The sole bright spot isveteran actor Paul Sand as the boxing coach. The rest is howlingly unfunny. - -Robert Horton ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow.
I'm a big fan of Michael J. Fox, and it isn't hard to see why. He has immense talent, and he's a very coordinated actor with MANY fine elements to his performance. Jason is a great actor too, although Michael pulled it off much better in my opinion. I always get a certain kind of wholesome feeling from watching Teen Wolf the original rather than in Teen Wolf Too, I feel like there's a guy trying to steal Michael's role. I think the director knew that it'd be a bad idea to cast someone else in Michael's role if they were to continue on the storyline from the original Teen Wolf into Teen Wolf 2. Obviously you can't have Scott Howard without the cool Boof, whoever the hell would name their daugher that, but anyway lol. Susan Ursitti would have to have been another "must have" to be able to pull off a sequel. The chemistry between her and Michael is great, and it can't be matched, because it's their spotlight.

I'd recommend this awesome classic for anyone that's interested in watching a good wholesome movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Like Highlander, there can be only one
The only reason I'm not giving This forthcoming DVD five stars is that it's paired with the sequel, which is better left in the vaults of the MIB. The original is, simply put, a masterpiece that transcends the genre of teen movies. It takes the clever idea of using lycanthropy as a coming of age symbol and plays it out beautifully. Michael J. Fox is at his best, and the rest of the cast compliment with excellent chemistry. It's just as fun to watch the tenth time around as the first; I'm finding myself memorizing and quoting it like Star Wars. The sequel does it no justice. Jason Bateman does OK, but the script was too much an attempt to duplicate the original, while the first movie clearly broke ground.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite "Feel Good" Movie Of The 80's
This movie, to me, is one of my most favorite movies ever. it has something in it we can all relate to...feeling like you're a nobody & wanting to be something more to everyone in your life. It has a great cast, michael j.fox was great as scott howard, but i loved james hampton as "the dad", because he was just like scott at his age. he knew how tough it was to fit in. but the movie is so good, the story is so funny, it brings back so many memories for me. the dvd itself could've had extras on it like explaining why there were so many scenes where the actor's voices weren't in sync with their dialogue. If you feel down in your life & need a feel good movie that makes you go for your dream, take a look at "Teen "Wolf". I would also love if they could bring the soundtrack out on cd, it has been deleted for some time now, & i am sure i am not the only one who would like to see it back in the stores & would buy a copy. the second movie however, is pretty bad. the director (quite plainly) wanted a exact carbon copy of the original classic (let me tell you, he failed miserably) the actor who took over the roles of coach finstock can't act for nuts, he didn't even want to play the part. but getting back to the first movie, i would love to see an extended version of the film, when you watch the preview, you see scenes that are not in the final cut of the movie. please director rod daniel, bring out a extended edition of this classic. my favorite part is at the end when scott throws the ball into the hoop for the final winning shot to clinch the championship for the beacontown beavers, then the crowd all raised their fists & cheered, that scene always makes the hairs & goosebumps all over me stand up & cheer too. i always watch the credits too, i think i've only ONCE only half watched the credits. this movie will always be in my heart forever. "Teen Wolf" HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good stupied funny movie
I dont think they should sell it with the second one. the first on was good. he ia a high school basketball player who finds out his family is ware wolfs. sound weird but it is good. the second one sucks its not michael j fox. them make him a college boxer and i think its a waist of time to see the acting is ok just not a movie that needed a second one

4-0 out of 5 stars Your typical 80's teen comedy...
Let's see: a 'geeky' guy is on some sports team that REALLY needs to win. He also has this unpopular girl as his friend (who happnes to have a crush on him), and has a crush on the most beautiful & popular girl in school, who couldn't care less about him. Suddenly, the guy discovers he had inherited the family 'curse' - he is a werewolf. After the initial scare, he finds out he can use it to his advantage - he helps his sports team win, which makes him popular, which attracts the beautiful & popular girlfriend, which makes her boyfriend (who is, incidentaly, on the opposite team) mad, which leads to a big fight, which leads our protagonist to the conclusion that he had abused his power as a werewolf and the importance of team work. This leads to a confrontation with some sort of an authority figure, but eventually the team (lead and inpired by the protagonist) wins the day, and the guy gets together with the geeky girl he discovers he liked all along.

Since this can describe both the movies, the unoriginal & repeated story line is the biggest fault I could find with the Teen Wolf 2 movie. OK, that and the fact Michael J. Fox (who made the most of the 1st film) wasn't in it.

These are typical early tot mid 80's teen dramas, and the fun in them (at least for me) is the memories rather than the story and the laughs. And oh yeah, Michael J. Fox. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money and buy a different DVD
First off, I am a middle aged housewife who decided to buy her kids a christmas movie. My kids hated it so much that they threw it away. I then retrieved it from the garbage and then watched it for myself. It is the most horribley acted movie.
The adult actors and actresses have done a o.k. job with this movie in terms of acting, but the child actresses, I believe her name was Riley Chitty, butchered the whole movie with her pathetic acting skills and annoying voice. It is clear that she has no acting experience whatsoever. Also this movie had no good plotline, or teargerking moments. I would not recomend this movie to anyone. It is a waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is the best movie!
Not only does this movie have great actors in it, but it also has a story line that will touch your heart. "A Christmas Visitor" is a story about a family struggling to deal with not only the death of their son who died in action in the Gulf War, but with the possibility of their daughter having brest cancer. The family has not celebrated Christmas ever since their son died because when the news about their son arrived, it was 2 days before Christmas, until a mysterious visitor arrives and tells them what the meaning of Christmas is all about. This movie will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. One minute you'll be overjoyed and the next, your feelings will be crushed by something so overwhelming in the movie. This movie will take you from the edge of your seat, into the lives and hearts of these characters and will show you how they are so devoted to their son that they will even give up a Christmas in order to preserve and keep the memories of their deceased son. This is a tearjerker especially when they show flashbacks of their son and his life, but if you are really into a great movie, I fully recommand it. You won't regret it. This movie will teach you about family and love in the face of ruin and sadness and it will show how love and faith can withstand anything. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Where's Episode 4 : Love Sounds????
While it's nice that this series is out on dvd, I'm disapointed to learn that "Love Sounds, episode 4"" was not included here as it's the best episode from THE HITCHHIKER series.

Is there going to be a SECOND dvd release with MORE episodes on it?. Please, anyone, email my agent if you have any info on this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Welcome back Hitchhiker
Wow, there's a great collection of talent there! With episodes featuring award-winning actors such as Helen Hunt and Joe Pantoliano, and participation from fan-favorite director Paul Verhoeven, this surely is a must-have for any DVD collector
Koch Canada will release The Complete First Season on DVD April 20th. This 3 disc set will contain 26 episodes The show must have aired differently in Canada because what Koch considers the first season is actually the first 3 seasons according to the episode guide at EPGuides.com. It's not all good news though; the people at Koch Canada said that they don't own the Canadian rights to the second Canadian season so they're unable to release those episodes.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Hitchhiker series is stil the Best
The Hitchhiker was the best show on tv(then again, my parents never wanted HBO in their home so they could keep their kids from having access to TV T&A, thus, I didn't catch it in the early years.) Page Fletcher, however, was like a cooler Alfred Hitchcock, the Fonz of suspense. And that intro (bump-dump-bump-chhhhhhh-bump-dump-bump-chhhhhhh-ooorrrwouoonnnnhhhhh) with the rattlesnake chiming in as we see him walking through dust on the shoulder of the highway

5-0 out of 5 stars The Hitchhiker Rules!!
The Hitchhiker was an awesome show! I remember watching it on HBO when I was a kid. I also enjoyed the later episodes on USA network. The stories were great. I just wish some network would show the Hitchhiker again

Bleah. I never caught this back when it was on HBO, and I'm glad. It's terrible. I couldn't get through two whole episodes. They call these tales of terror. What's terrible is that this ever got put on DVD. Don't bother picking this title up. It's cheesy and not terrifying at all. Maybe really late at night back in the 80's. 4-0 out of 5 stars Magnificent movie! Three thumbs up.
Brian Denehy is a superb actor. He always seems to elevate the quality of every film he appears . (Remember him in The belly of an arquitect or Bestseller, for instance). Gifted with strong character , and charimatic personality he reminds very often me to Broderick Crawford , a hard actor of the fifties (All the king's men).
In this film he is an attorney who must to defend a man framed of murder.
The puzzle script is absorbing and deeply haunting ,specially in some sequences like instance that one in which we see stating the point that not all Vietnam veterans are murders by definition.
Christopher Leicht has made a punch movie and we expect new works from this consistent director . He reveals himself as a young promise in this hard competing office .
Jill Stuart Masterton gives a credible performance.
Acquire this one and please: the title is not related with Agatha Christie novel . ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A BETTER LIFE IN NOT ACROSS THE BORDER!
This most unusual action/thriller shot in mexico and the U.S., focuses on the hard, dangerous lives of Mexicans attempting to cross the border into the U.S. Telly Savales stars as the tough cop dealing with the evil Mexican officials who blatantly ship them over the border to work in horrible sweatshops.

GRAPHIC FOOTAGE

2-0 out of 5 stars I want back those 78 minutes of my life.
The first five minutes of the movie were actually pretty cool. An exciting car chase and shoot-out. After that, I found the movie to be predictable and tired. The dialogue sounds like it was written for junior high students. There was a hideous and graphic five minute scene where a steer is first shot, and then butchered with an axe and various cleavers. This film can best be described as an amateurish hispanicsploitation film, where all Americans (except Telly Savalas) are shown as brutal racists and profiteers. Leave this one in the bargain bin of history. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Why isnt it available??
Why have the studios not cottoned onto the fact that fan's of this excellent TV series is in large demand. I've been looking for the videos and all sorts, there just not available here in the UK. Bring it out on DVD on all regions so I can get a one for my so desperate mum!! It'll make her day to own just on not alone a whole series or even all the episodes!!. The studios could make alot of money from its fans, we all want to own it! All you have to do is produce it and tell all the fan clubs including the UK one that Gale Gwent runs.
what an overall FANTASTIC programme...an absolute classic.

5-0 out of 5 stars They don't make 'em like they used to
Although I'm a 25 year old Israeli woman, born after the Vietnam war was over, and halfway around the world, this series touched me in a way most dramas didn't. Perhaps it was Dana Delaney's excellent dramatic acting, or the music, or any of the wonderful features of the talented crew that made this beautiful series possible, but I get the feeling that although I like new drama series like ER or The West Wing, I feel that John Wells has learned well, but not enough. China Beach had a certain something that other drama series did not. I'm no expert, so I can't put my finger on it, but whatever it was, I haven't seen it since, and I suspect I'll never see it again.

5-0 out of 5 stars DANA DELANEY IS CHINA BEACH ! ! ! ! ! !
This closest thing to a perfect show is my favorite series of all time. The actors were always excellent (w/the exception of Robert Picardo and Megan Gallagher....I don't know, but I just didn't like them very much). The show could not have been made w/out Dana Delaney. If it had it wouldn't be half as good. She is Colleen McMurphy...McMurphy is China Beach...Dana Delaney is the key. Her performance both comic and drmatic are so true to life. Her emotions of the war are so real it scares you into thinking that this is too real. She has such a wonderful gift. I hope we see more of her real soon.

WHY IS THIS SERIES NOT ON DVD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I find this a serieous omission. If anyone hears about it coming to DVD, please let me know by email! Thanks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Have tried for years to find this on video
I, too, would buy every episode of this terrific series. I agree Dana Delaney was great, but, in my view, it was really an ensemble show. Marg Helgenberger as KC and Brian Wimmer as Boonie and Michael Boatman and Robert Picardo and Troy Evans and Concetta Tomei and absolutely everyone else were just terrific. Also, the production values were excellent. I remember sitting there watching and noticing how fabulous the lighting and cinematography were. I don't think any other television show has touched me as much as this one. Please, please bring this out on DVD!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Writing, Great Acting...Give Us This Series On DVD!!!
I was a slow starter on this series when it originally aired. ABC basically killed any chances of the series picking up steam in the ratings by allowing "China Beach" to be shifted from one time slot to another, making it harder to keep up with. What a shame, the story lines and rich characters were worthy of much better treatment than they received.

It wasn't until a couple of years after ABC pulled the plug that A&E aired the entire series several times. I was able to finally see all the episodes I missed and I was HOOKED!! I truly believe that "China Beach" represents some of the best writing and acting I have ever seen in a television program--a very worthy effort that was never truly appreciated by the network PTB.

This series received tons of critical acclaim and was nominated for and received several Emmys. To my knowledge, it was never released in a VHS format--but it begs to be considered for release on dvd. PLEASE give the fans of "China Beach" the chance to see this series in format worthy of the talent that it represents.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent drama about Vietnam nurses, doctors, soldiers
This is the popular and much acclaimed "China Beach" TV series. Dana Delany has the role of her life playing Colleen McMurphy, a dedicated triage nurse in Vietnam. This is not a war action movie, but rather a drama about the lives of Vietnam soldiers and the nurses, Red Cross "Donut Dollies", and USO entertainers who are there for them. Dana Delaney is stunning in the role of McMurphy -- this alone would make this a classic. In addition, the deep respect and understanding shown for the Vietnam GI's sets this apart from most of the other Vietnam movies. This is a movie that people who weren't in Vietnam should watch to get a better appreciation for the men and women who served there. For those who were there, this movie is a token of respect and appreciation for your service. ... Read more
