This is a movie with Hilary Duff in it. She gave her brother concert tickets, but he was grounded. So Terri (Hilary Duff) snuck Paul (her brother) out by pushing his car down the driveway. They were listening to loud music, and Paul was driving the car down the road, when a drunk driver in a huge pick-up truck plowed right into their car. Terri was in the hospital, but unfortunely, Paul sadly died in the terrible crash. I'm not going to give any more away. I saw it in Regal Theatre near Old Country Buffet. It really is a dramatic, romantic, funny film. I hope it will inspire you as much as it did for me. It tells you to follow your dreams, if you're Terri, her dad, Paul, whoever. Just please go see it. It's the best movie I've ever seen. Thank You.

Like a cross between Moesha and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, That's So Raven centers around a typical teen... with a secret. Raven (former Cosby kid Raven-Symoné) is a high-spirited high school girl who can see the future. In the popular Disney Channel comedy, she's joined by friends Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol) and Eddie (Orlando Brown), parents Tonya (T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh) and Victor (Rondell Sheridan), and younger brother Corey (Kyle Massey). Drawn from the first two seasons, Supernaturally Stylish features three episodes: "That's So Not Raven," "If I Only Had a Job," and "He's Got the Power." In the latter, Eddie develops psychic abilities after a comet passes over the city. Along the way, he gets the girl--Haylie Duff, sister of Lizzie McGuire's Hilary--then just as promptly loses her when his powers desert him. This handy collection also includes a never-before-seen episode featuring Raven's favorite band, Boys in Motion. --Kathleen C. Fennessy ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars suprisingly good
i was flipping throught the channals, on cable, and i got in on the last half of the movie. i remember in the casper comics, wendy is refered to as "wendy, the good little witch". it does not say that she is teen witch. i loved casper the movie. i think the idea is original and fun. im 29 years old and love all types of movies. i fell in love with cathy moriatry (sp) when i saw her in soapdish. (by the way that movie really needs to be on dvd) i was very impressed by the special affects the move had to offer. i really recommend this movie for the entire family.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Spirited Adventure...
This is an excellent family movie. Casper has been a childhood classic for many-a-year, and always seems to become updated with the times. He is one cartoon character you can't help but love, and could appreciate if he were really to exist. This is like a sequal to the Casper that featured Christina Ricci. Instead, this time around we have Hillary Duff. Ms. Duff plays Wendy, The Good Little Witch. She lives with her aunts, who are essentially more mis-behaved than she is. Due to some "trouble" Wendy doesn't start, the quartet is forced to take a vacation, and do so at the Sunny Brite Resort...the same place Casper and his uncles, The Ghostly Trio, are headed to as well. Eventually Casper and Wendy do meet up and become friends, despite what their guardians have said about the other parties. To try to make a change for the better, a plan is constructed to have the witches meet up with the ghosts. As a result, the friendship is tested, and in the end....well, not to spoil it, but you can probably guess what does happen, as this is a movie for young and old alike. For the most part, this movie is great. It's an amazing feel-good flick that anyone can enjoy. Hillary as Wendy puts the movie in an even better light. I suggest anyone who enjoys good family entertainment check out this movie. Casper movies are always a treat, and it's a wonder who he'll be meeting up with next??

1-0 out of 5 stars Even worse then A Spirited Beginning
The original Casper movie was a very good movie. It had state of the art effects, great plot, great acting. Then the sequals rolled in. Instead of grabing the original cast and creating a good theatrical sequal they make a A Spirited Beginning. A movie with terrible acting and a story that did not fit with the original at all. The next effort Casper Meets Wendy was even worse. I can't believe they turned Casper into some bad Bewitched spin-off. It doesn't fit in the Casper universe. If that wasn't enough the acting was just as bad as A Spirited Beginning if not worse. When the witches use magic everybody sees nobody cares. Yeah right. When the kids find a magic wand they try to destroy it instead of keeping it. Special effects were terrible you think made years after the effects would be better not worse then the original. They were worse. Much worse. Any enjoyment Hmmmmmmmmmmmm no none. Stick with the original.

An evil gang takes over an amusement park only to be foiled by threeNinja-trained brothers and a TV action star in this smartly paced (if by-the- numbers) kiddie action flick. Medusa (Loni Anderson) and Lothar (Jim Varney)head up the gang with ransom money and mayhem on their minds. But they don'tcount on the young Caucasian trio, taught by their inexplicably Asiangrandfather, and Dave Dragon (Hulk Hogan), making a live appearance at the park. What follows is campy humor, lots of Karate-esque action and plenty of HomeAlone-type boy vs. foolish bad guy high jinks. And girls aren't left out:the brothers' neighbor, a brainy techno girl, is on hand to hack into thecomputer to override the gang's murderous plans, while also providing 007-stylegadgets for hand-to-hand combat. While there is plenty of gunplay in the 90- minute film, no one is killed or even significantly hurt, making it appropriatefor ages 5 and older.--Kimberly Heinrichs ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
I have a really rambunctious, 5-year old brother and he is always running around and getting into trouble! We rented The 3 Ninjas and he actually sat down and watched the whole movie! He especially likes Tum Tum!

5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest movie, Just like Hogan, the greatest!
This movie features Hollywood Hogan, Hulk Hogan, in the roll of a after-school TV show action hero who's show was cancelled due to the kids of the 90's not believing in heroes anymore. Hogan and the 3 Ninja's go against a money and power hngry woman who buys Ninja's and fighters of her own to fight her battles and like in life and in wrestling, Hogan, who plays "Dick Dragon", had the task of proving himself as a hero and does so.

1-0 out of 5 stars 10 dollar budget + washed up stars = 3 ninjas!
A friend of mine caught the end of this movie on cinemax, then he waited until the next time it was on, and taped it. When he brought it to my house I was shocked and apalled. The acting is horrible, the fight scenes are disgusting, and the children are flat out annoying, not to mention Colt, who has a mullet and nostrils the size of dump truck tires. I started watching the movie at the part where multiple "ninjas" in funny black costumes attack the children. One of the 3 kids jumps about 12 feet onto the roof of a building, the ninja he is fighting appearently intentionally falls off after he gets hit. Tum tum the youngest one is always kicking these 6 foot tall men in the face, but they never show him do it, just a leg probably on a stick. The movie is chock full of "Ball" jokes, every ninja that Tum tum ever fights gets kicked in the privates, ha ha? What about the time a ninja gets knocked onto a railing, and is sliding down it butt first. Naturally another ninja ends up keeping his chin right on the railing, for some wierd reason, and gets hit in the face by a butt. How about when the lady shoots out all the lights and sends ninjas after the three children, they are swinging in the dark, one falls off the scaffolding, is holding on by a hand, it's dark right? Well to summon up courage in the ninja the other one shows him a picture of their grandmaster guy, I thought it was just dark? This movie is ... horrible ..., watch it and write everything that is wrong with it, what was the director thinking?

They Released Her Greatest Disney TV & Film CD & Now The Even Stevens Movie & Cadet Kelly Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Hilarious Even Stevens Movie
I've always enjoyed the show, but this movie takes the cake.It is a spoof of the survivor shows. It is really funny and definitely worth watching and buying. This is one of the best made for TV movies Disney has made.I'm so glad they are being released on DVD.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Ending to the Best Show!!!
Even Stevens is one of the better things that disney has produced in the last couple years. The show was hilarious, originally following the lives of two rival siblings, Louis (played briliantly by Shia LaBeouf) and Ren (rising star, Christy Carlson Romano) The show started to spread to all the other chartchers in the show, and most of the have noticable roles in this movie. Louis is a goof-ball, while Ren (being the complete oposite) is a well-respected straight A overachiever. The series hit its high in its 2002 episode, "Influenza: The Musical" which featured the cast memebers in very cool song and dance numbers. The movie premiered in July 2003, achieveing amazing reviews and millions of viewers. Disney is smart to release this one, becuase this is a must have for any DIsney fan. This movie ends the series on a high note, with Ren graduating middle school (in an episode didn't she say she was past 8th grade?), and Louis preparing for the Ultimate Summer Vacation, when an enthusiastic man shows up on their door. He tells the Stevens that they have won an all-expsense trip to an exotic island. But when the Stevens family arrive on the island with their annoying neighbor frined, they have no idea the rest of the world is watching them. They are now staring on the new show "Family Fake-Out", and their friends back home (who unknowingly sold them out) venture outto save them. This movie is complete with off-the-wall humor, and one of the most memorable endings in all DCOM history. This one is a MUST BUY!

5-0 out of 5 stars 3 star movie for a 5 star show
Even Stevens is what 'Arrested Development' would be if it were meant for kids. I have watched this show since I was 10 years old, I have seen every single episode tons of times, and they are all great. The show is smart and very funny. This movie doesn't live up to the show though. You can tell it was put together in a very short amount of time to silence the fans upset of the show's cancellation. It doesn't at all have the style of the show and if it weren't for the title and the cast it would be anything but similar to the show.
HOWEVER! BUY THIS DVD IF A FAN OF THE SHOW! DISNEY CHANNEL WILL MORE THAN LIKELY SEND THE SHOW TO DVD IF THIS HAS GOOD SALES! But whenever I say good sales I don't mean Top 20, Top 100, or even Top 1000, but anywhere over 5000 in rank and the show coming to DVD is probably competely out of question. So every fan should buy this nonetheless.

5-0 out of 5 stars FINALY!!!
I can't say much about the DVD it's self, but the movie is great!I'm just happy that they are putting Even Stevens anything on DVD.This show was great. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Casper is back, and it's a new beginning
"Casper - A Spirited Beginning" isn't anything like the first Casper movie and it isn't as good, but it's still a good movie in its own way. In this movie, Casper befriends a 10-year-old boy who believes in ghosts. The boy is the only person that's not scared of Casper, so they become best friends. The bad thing is that the boy's father is real busy and never seems to pay attention to his son, and the worst of all, the father has a plan to tear down an old haunted mansion so the town can have a new shopping center. However, nobody seems to like the idea of getting rid of the old mansion.

"Casper - A Spirited Beginning" is a good movie in most ways. Casper and the same 3 ghosts that were in the first Casper movie are back in this one along with a bunch of new ghosts including one that looks like a huge version of Slimer from The Ghostbusters. "Casper - A Spirited Beginning" has an interesting plot, parts of it are funny, and it has good animated effects such as an old graveyard and a train with a skull on the front of it. If you like Casper movies, I recommend getting "Casper - A Spirited Beginning." It's a new beginning to a new kind of Casper movies, and it's good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Just as Cute as The Bill Pullman, Christina Ricci Movie!
Sorry but liked this movie and wasn't really bothered by the fact that it was a direct to video release but than again I saw this on the Family channel, it came on after another movie I had watched and I had never even heard of this movie and didn't even know it was originally a direct to video and DVD release, all I know is that I thought this was a cute movie and I liked Steve Guttenburg, Lori Loughlin and the kid who played Chris and thought they were all good and I just don't think this movie is bad at all.

1-0 out of 5 stars A bad prequal
The first Casper was a fun movie which I liked alot. After its success someone had the idea lets make a cheesy prequal with inferior effects that doesn't tie in with the first movie at all. In the first movie it says that ghosts scar because of emotion trama in this ghost scar because they are taken to some school to learn how to. Not a good vision of the afterlife is it. It also like I said before has terrible effects. They should have made a sequal with orginal cast and original effects quality. But this is awful.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Stupid Begining
To start out with, this is another one of those typical, cheap, grownups-are-stupid; kids-are-smart movies. This is nothing like the first movie. If this is how it all began then it does not tie in with the feature film Casper the Friendly Ghost.

How can a ten-year-old boy, who is in the 4th grade, be smarter than his 40-year-old-dad, who is a successful architect? What happened to Casper's father, who lived in a completely other part of the country, and the big scary mansion? It doesn't make any sense. This is a disgrace to the friendly phantom.

The acting in this movie is at an all time low. They got low paid actors for a low paid movie. All of the horrible acting, sets, story, and CG make this movie the definition of a terrible movie. Should you watch this junk you will discover the dreadfulness of this piece of trash.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not that bad for direct to video, but predictable.
As far as I know there have been 3 Direct to Video Casper movies since the Christina Ricci feature film. Of course, none of them measure up to that big budget one. They started with this film, Casper: A Spirited Beginning, which seems to disregard the Ricci movie altogether. After that came Casper Meets Wendy, followed by the most recent Casper's Haunted Christmas. So far my fave of these three Direct to Video films has been Casper Meets Wendy, but then, I haven't seen the Christmas one yet. I prefer Casper Meets Wendy to Casper: A Spirited Beginning, probably because it's more of a comedy and the story is more supernatural and interesting, adding witches and warlocks to the mix. Casper: A Spirited Beginning just continues with the ghost stuff, which we already saw much better in the Ricci movie. If you are curious about the plot, the Editorial Review here lays it out pretty clearly. No point in adding to that. Chris is a little boy who has moved to a new town. He's a supernatural/scifi nut with no friends. Casper is a freshly dead ghost with no friends, so they take comfort in each other. Steve Guttenburg, always a fave of mine, plays Chris' Dad. He's a workaholic, and so Chris is extra frustrated about that. It's a simple plot about Chris and Casper making friends, overcoming bullies, and bonding with Dad, and then there's Kibosh, a boss ghost who is after Casper for skipping Ghost training or something. Romantic sparks also fly between Guttenberg and Chris' new teacher. Everything is pretty basic and predictable, the usual family straight to video stuff. The effects are not bad, but nothing compared to the Ricci movie. A bit more cartoony I guess. Basically, this is an interesting film that isn't that boring, albeit predictable. Kids should enjoy it without getting bored though, and especially Casper fanatics. Don't consider it the prequel it was originally marketed as. This one sets a whole new beginning for Casper, and doesn't go into details about who he was and how he died. If you like Casper, I'd say get both this AND Casper Meets Wendy, but like I said, please don't expect some Big Budget thing. I'm so tired of reading reviews from people who buy straight to video stuff and are upset that it doesn't look like the stuff they see at the movies! C'mon people! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars P.U.N.K.S
Wow! this movie is good for the whole family! but the only reason why i got this is so i can se the beautiful Jessica Alba, she has a cool New York accent and shows a different side of her. The other kids performance was funny, when they were wrestling in there room, i laughed my butt off. I loved this movie and i loved Jessica's performance! if your a Jessica Alba fan then go out and gt this!

5-0 out of 5 stars J Alba With a New York Accent
If you wanna see Jess in a hilarious role then this is the movie for you. It's a kid's movie, so you know it's kind of "lame", but that's in a good way. Jess (Samantha Swaboda) is a tough chick who knows how to break into cars among other things. She runs with the PUNKS on a special life-threatening mission. All Jessica Alba fans if you don't get this movie for any other reason get it to hear Jessica's funny New York accent, it's classic.

4-0 out of 5 stars PUNKS
This isn't the best kids movie out there, but its not too bad. Its not just for the little kids this time since it is about young teens. Of coarse it has that red headed boy thats in like every single kids movie, hes kinda weird, anyway theres only 2 cute boys in this one! anyway gotta go 4 now!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great mix of action and comedy
Over all, I'd say that this is one of Disney's better family movies of late. Just the right amounts of both action and comedy. Tim Redwine was fantastic as the neglected son, and even better as the PUNKS leader, but Brandon Baker was the funniest. Especially when he had the Augmentor on and was dancing around making Henry Winkler look like a fool. Of course The Fonz was awesome, as always, even as the bad guy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not your average "kid" movie
Okay, I admit that I picked up this film to watch up-and-coming film hottie Jessica Alba, and if you're a big fan of hers, that's probably why you'll want to watch this movie, too. Overall, P.U.N.K.S. is a pretty decent film and almost (emphasis on ALMOST) bearable to watch.

P.U.N.K.S. is an acronym for the heroes' last names: Pasiotopolis, Utley, Nygren, Kitchen, and Swaboda. The main hero decides that he's had enough being bullied by the school jocks and bands together a group of other kids to stand up for the underdogs, the oppressed. As a means to carry out their righteous cause, the group uses an experimental augmentor--or strength enhancer--that the hero's father helped design.

On a side note, as a fan of both comics and professional wrestling, I was glad to see that the hero's inspiration to become a team of crusaders fighting for the weak was none other than Marvel Comics' X-Men. Both the comic book and action figures were featured prominently in the movie. Another character is a wrestling fanatic, and he carries out his fantasy whenever he dons the augmentor by calling himself the Undertaker, of WWF fame.

In the end, it's an "okay" movie, but if it wasn't for Jessica Alba, I'd give this movie at least 3 1/2 stars or a 4. ... Read more

If you're not a sucker for fact-based stories involving ostracized little boys, struggling single dads, precocious chimps, or space exploration, switch on Race to Space. James Woods stars as the 1960s rocket scientist the U.S. is counting on in its race to catch up with the space-savvy Russians; because he's German, a cluster of corrupt politicians cooks up a plan to sabotage his launch, which would send Mac, the chimp who's become his misfit son's special buddy, into space. Race feels formulaic from the liftoff, but the winch tightening translates to the family room without turning wimpy. Once the movie reaches its final frontier, all reservations have been scrubbed. It's one small step for movie-making kind, one giant leap for family entertainment. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars All in all, a great family film!
The movie Race to Space is a wonderful, heart touching movie, starring Alex D. Linz and James Woods. Now these two actors are so extremly good, that no matter what the movie was if they were in it, it would be entertaining. These movie was extremly entertaining and I will give it 5 STARS! Watch it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Another masterpiece
See, the thing is...I am a huge Alex Linz fan. I watch all of his movies and I think he is an awsome actor. This movie is just excellent. The movies he is in are just so good (im not saying this just because i am in love with him lol) and i think this is one of his best. The plot is realistica and reasonable, yet a great kiddie movie (i would know cuz im 13). I went to see this at the movie theater and after the movie was over, i stood up and applauded, and that was the first time i felt that it was neccesary to do so. Everyone else did the same and, enough babbling, there is just one thing to say, THIS MOVIE IS AWSOME! Hope you enjoy it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally - a family movie done _right_.
Okay, so this is one of those A-Boy-And-His-Dog/Cat/Horse/Space Alien type movies. (In this case, the mammal in question is Mac the chimp, the first US critter to make it up in space.) So, some of the plot details are gonna be a given: the boy, Billy, and Mac form a deep bond almost instantaneously; the boy's father, a German scientist now working for NASA, is distant and removed from him; the bad guy government agent is willing to do anything to stop the rocket launch from succeeding, even if it will hurt Mac.

So, okay. A few overly-used plot conventions. But what movie _doesn't_ have overly-used plot conventions? And this remains one of the very, very few family movies I've seen done _right_. The boy, Billy, gets to help both the training of Mac and will later "save the day" - but we have no annoying, attempting-to-be-humorous scenes of Billy brillantly thwarting the sunglasses-wearing evil agents of Doom. Nor does he get free reign around NASA to do whatever he wants. His father - brillantly portrayed by James Woods, who does a surprisingly excellent German accent - is not a horrible father who cares more about his work than his son; he's a normal enough guy who still misses his wife who died three years ago and is trying, _really_ trying, to do the right thing by his son. The movie is moved along with decent speed, having more than its fair share of amusing moments ("Why do you people continually try to kill my son?") without losing the realism tone.

And best of all: the ending. *WARNING: SPOILER ALERT AHEAD!* Billy's father does _not_ fall madly in love with the beautiful doctor and trainer of Mac, to be followed by marriage and a once-again perfectly nuclear family for Billy. Nope. Billy finds a mother figure again in Mac's vet, but Billy's father ain't over his wife yet, and there is no corny, unrealistic romance between the two good doctors. Real life doesn't _work_ that way all the time; and it was nice to be reminded that you can have a happy ending without Daddy getting re-married. It would have totally ruined the mood of the film, not to mention Woods' character, to do something so artifical. And they didn't, and it worked. *END SPOILER ALERT*.

This was a really well-done family movie that I recommend to any James Woods fan; but also to anyone looking for well-done, well-written entertainment the _whole_ family can enjoy. Rarely corny and always down-to-earth, this is a good movie. If you get a chance to see it in your area - see it. You won't be disappointed. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good!
I watched the original theatrical movie that starred Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman, not ina movie theater but on video and while that was a good movie I also liked this prequel movie which I first saw on TV. It is a cute movie and stars two of my favorite actors Steve Guttenburg, and Lori Loughlin and I really didn't find this movie to be disappointing at all.

2-0 out of 5 stars here he is again....
