With its series-finale episode, Dawson's Creek summed up its six-year run on the WB Network with a sweet and sad tale of reunion and farewell for old friends, soul mates, and lovers. The friends are now 25 and living new lives: Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is in Hollywood executive-producing The Creek, obviously based on his own life and considered "the new hit teen soap at the WB"; Joey (Katie Holmes) is a book editor in New York with a serious beau; Jen (Michelle Williams) is a single mother; Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is the relatively respectable owner of the reborn Icehouse Restaurant; and Jack (Kerr Smith) is teaching at the high school and struggling with his relationship.A wedding brings everyone together in Capeside, but tragedy strikes, and the remaining friends are left to consider their lives and what they want to do with them. Whether or not you agree with the final choices, of course, probably depends on who you've been rooting for.

The extended cut of the finale runs 104 minutes, about 16 longer than when it was broadcast in May 2003.Unlike deleted scenes on movie DVDs, each addition seems like a useful part of the story, and the DVD borrows a helpful feature from the Lord of the Rings extended editions by designating on the chapter menu which scenes are new or extended. Some differences are minor, but there are significant new scenes with Joey at work, Joey and her boyfriend (Jeremy Sisto of Six Feet Under), Joey and Dawson's reunion in Capeside, and Pacey's conversation with old flame Andie (Meredith Monroe).

As they did for two episodes of Dawson's Creek: The Complete First Season, creator Kevin Williamson (who co-wrote the finale) and executive producer Paul Stubin provide a commentary track in which they discuss the new scenes and which characters were originally intended to end up together. There are also four scenes that were filmed for the original pilot presentation (not the finished pilot shown in season one) then reshot. There's a small but important difference in the last scene, Pacey meets Tamara Jacobs in a different video store, and Dawson's dad is played by a different actor before the role was recast with John Wesley Shipp. --David Horiuchi ... 5-0 out of 5 stars All Good Things Must Come to an End
I caught the series finale on the original air date on the WB. It was both fantastic and heart breaking. It brings the 6 friends back for a wedding. But soon the heart warming reunion turns sour with the news of a friend harboring a heart breaking secret. When the secret is revealed it makes the friends look at themselves.

When Jen tells her daughter to believe in God, is the most powerful scene in the whole show. This coming from a girl who would avoid churches and any mention of God. Jen has difinitely changed throughout the six season on the WB.

Joey resides in NY with her current boyfriend. But when she makes an unexpected return to The Creek, old feelings rise up again. But in the end she gets what she wants without feeling guilty about hurting anyone else.

Although this show is called Dawson's Creek, I don't believe that means Dawson should get the girl. Although he doesn't get the girl, he gets a highly sucesessful show and gets to meet is all-time favorite film maker.

Pacey still gets in trouble with older women, and owns the new Ice House. Pacey is another example of a character that has changed throught the airing of this show. He goes from a troubled-slacker, to someone who has things figured out, for the most part.

Jack finally gets his man! But in the end loses the most important person in his life, Jen. They were, in my eyes, soulmates. Not as lovers, but as life long friends. He is also in a relationship with a secretly gay man (Who knew is would be Deputy Doug. Didn't he claim to be a straight man all these years?)

In the end, they all get what they wanted. And figured some things out along the way. Joey made the right choice. Pacey was the right man for her. He made her happy, and they both had strong feelings torward eachother. Dawson was her soulmate, as a friend. He got what he wanted either way.

We left these 6 friends on TV, but we now can have them on DVD!! GET THIS DVD!! This will be a great UNCUT version of what was aired. Andie should have been apart of the airing of the show, but we still get to see what she turned out like on the DVD. I wish they could have brought all the rest of the characters through out the years back, like Audrey, Drue, and Gretchen. But either way, it is a great ending to a GREAT show!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Pacey and Joey: True Love
First of all i have to say that I have been a Dawsons Creek fan since the first episode. Granted there were some episodes i didnt really like, i watched them anyways. I never missed one. I think that the finale show was brilliant. Honestly, you can't tell me that Dawson and Joey just make a terrible couple. They are best friends and have always been best friends. You can't throw them at eachother and make it work. When they were together when the show first started, they spent more time trying to come up with reasons why they should be together, than just being happy together. All Dawson did was complain about everything and cried like a little baby. Come on, i know that all the girls around the world would agree with me that they would rather be with a guy like pacey. A guy who acts like a real man. Pacey and Joey have always found a way back to eachother. Plus, he was her "first". At the ski lodge, is when i knew pacey and joey were meant for eachother, just by the way she was talking to him, and also i knew when he turned that girl down because he knew he loved joey. Yeah, Pacey turned a girl down... for true love. One of the best episodes was when Joey left Dawson that summer to go with Pacey. Right there tells you that she loves him more than anything, and most of all more than Dawson. Joey and Pacey ending up together was the best way to end the show not just because it gave the fans a twist, but because its true love, and true love conquers all. great ending to and awesome show!! great job kev

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Series Finale of Any Show I Have Ever Seen
When I saw this episode when it first aired, I was blown away. It was the best 2 hours of television that I have ever seen.

It takes place four years in the future, which I thought was a great idea. It let us see our favorite characters in the real world after college, and it was good.

Joey's now an editor, Jack's an English teacher, Dawson is the writer and director of his own show The Creek, which was based on the indepedent movie he made during the second season of the show. Jen is a mother to a beautiful baby girl, Amy. It's said that her boyfriend knocked her up and then left her. I would assume that the boyfriend wasn't Jensen Ackle's character, who we last saw her with because he seems like too nice of a guy to do that, but they never really say who it was.

The gang is in town for Dawson's mother's wedding, and the first hour has to do with the death of one of the cast, which is very heartbreaking, I cried many times, while the second deals with the love triangle that is Pacey, Joey and Dawson.

I loved the finale when it aired in May, but when I heard that there were deleted scenes in the dvd, I had to buy it even though I had the other on tape. It was well worth it, if just for the return of Meredith Monroe as Andie. The best addition was at the very end when they show clips of all of the most important scenes of the last 6 years. It's very touching.

I would definitely recommend buying this whether you saw it when it aired, or if you have yet to see it.

It is an excellent episode.

3-0 out of 5 stars All Good Things Must Come To An End...
All in all, the series finale for Dawson's Creek is quite satisfying. Excellent performances, interesting storylines/scenarios, suspense, sheer conflict and resolution. In terms of entertainment, it portrayed what a true finale should be. It brought things full circle and didn't seem rushed. One thing did irk me, though, and this bothers me with any show: the re-writing of history (example: Joey always knew? Um, I thinketh not..) It truly is an issult to viewers who've watched a show non-stop. It's sloppy, and very poor writing. But nothing's perfect, and the finale definitely could've been a lot worse considering the last few lackluster seasons of 'DC'. It closed things out, at least. Maybe not in the best way, nor with the best tactics... but closed it out nonetheless.

1-0 out of 5 stars Huge Disappointment
It was bad enough that in the beginning, after Joey's longtime feelings for Dawson, their first kiss and their move into a relationship, she starts having doubts and breaks off the relationship.

But we could let this pass in the name of teenage angst, or "let's find new plot twists to make show interesting".

But ending the show with Pacey and Joey getting together, when there was so much magic and chemistry between Dawson and Joey, is just bad writing.

We watch these types of television shows to escape, and to get the happy ending that we perhaps did not get in real life. The main guy always gets the girl.....But more than that, Dawson and Joey, that was something special....

Had this been the ending I would have bought all the seasons. As it is, I will not waste my money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 90210 Dvd Debut!
So many petitions on the web have been crying out for 90210 to be released on DVD. Well its finally happened but not to the large scale everyone was hoping. Still one dvd release is better than nothing.

If enough people buy this DVD, then companies will take notice and begin to develop the Seasons everyone so dearly craves, converting them onto DVD for enjoyment.

This DVD is brilliant featuring the original pilot in its best form yet. The picture and sound have never been so finely tuned for a 90210 episode from season 1 which were always medicore in quality... UNTIL NOW!!!

You have the FULL cast featuring in this 90 minute pilot with the only exception being Luke Perry who plays Dylan. He is introduced in the second episode which follows the pilot. I can only hope that Season 1 will be released soon so we can all witness his big introduction into the show.

It's taken ages for this show to be released, dont follow the companies example and hesitate into whether you really want to purchase 90210 on DVD. JUST DO IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars 90210 FANS COME TOGETHER!~
First of all, it is NOT action packed, full of extra's and contains original music, like we'd all like. BUT THE POINT IS....... THEY HAVE PUT A 90210 product on DVD!!!! The more that are purchased may enhance our chances of ever seeing the entire series on DVD. I know a huge reason they havem't made the series on dvd yet is because all the music in all the episodes, and that would cause liscensing problems. If you are a TRUE 90210 fan, you will buy this simply to support any chance of them releasing the series in our lifetime. And I'm sure when they do, those box sets will include extras and fun stuff, but this is JUST the pilot episode, so you already know what you're gonna get, (if you've already seen the pilot.) One more note, on the cover of my now most favorite dvd, did anyone else notice they super-imposed Doug Emerson's head over top Luke Perry's body? Simply because "Dylan" isn't in the pilot, and "Scott" is. Sigh..... (Luke was HOOOOTTTTT!~ )Anyways, buy the dvd if you want to start your 90210 dvd collection, because I have faith in the powers that be that they WILL evetally put the series out. And when they do I'll buy every single season. WORD.

5-0 out of 5 stars 90210 on DVD!
One day in the near future...COULD WE PLEASE get 90210....all 10 seasons on DVD. I know a ton that would purchase them. They are a collectors. I grew up with this show. I could watch it everyday and never get bored.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I beg of you. PUT 90210 on DVD - You will make millions happy....and me!!! 5-0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER GREAT MOVIE FROM BET
THIS MOVIE IS JUST ONE OF MANY THAT I HAVE PURCHASED AND ENJOYED BY BET. AS ALWAYS,THE MOVIE IS WELL PRODUCED. THE ACTING AND CAST ARE SUPERB AND IT IS WORTH PURCHASING.

5-0 out of 5 stars BET Films Finally Gets Something Right!
I recently bought this DVD and I really enjoyed it. I always loved Vanessa Bell Calloway. She's a great actress who's been underrated for way too long. I was happy to see her in a starring role. It's been a while.

The film starts off with Nikita Harrell, a famous novelist whose life begins to fall flat once she realizes she could be put in prison for not paying taxes. From that point on, the brilliant yet self-absorbed and mean-spirited Nikita steps on everyone who gets in her way in order to fix her own problems. One night when she's struggling with her latest manuscript she comes to a revelation: she wants to travel to Africa to see the motherland and find herself again. Nikita learns that a trip is not the only answer and turns her attitude around.

This film was lovely and hit close to home because I am an author myself. Nikita was a very selfish woman who learned the hard way that a bad life doesn't give you the right to treat people wrong. She learns to lean on the people who love her instead of running away from them. This is a beautiful family drama. I laughed and cried. My only complaint was that the film wasn't longer. I am not a big fan of BET film adaptations because the ones I've seen were not impressive. A Private Affair is the only BET film I would recommend to anyone. It's light-hearted yet dramatic and just plain fun. Vanessa Bell Calloway has chemstry with everyone she encounters and she convinced me of her part completely. Fans of intelligent black films should definitely get this movie. It's a movie no Vanessa Bell Calloway fan should miss.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jack before Jack and great followup to Mac
If you can follow my title than you want this DVD!!!!! RDA is excellent. The good cop/bad cop cliche works VERY well in this story. RDA plays Jack Rourke, a cop who was arrested years ago under false charges, was cleared but has never been able to shake the fact that he never gets promoted. He can't hold a relationship with anyone. Then he meets a murder witness with a HUGE story behind her also. He spends the vast majority of the film deciding whether he will actually break the law and system that have been unfair to him or keep on the right side. The movie is great and would have to be one of Richard's best works.

3-0 out of 5 stars A must for Richard Dean Anderson fans
A bit predictable but still a must see for RDA fans.

2-0 out of 5 stars Another flick from the bargin bin.
Made-for-TV thriller that is more predictable than thrilling.

Lynn is an office-clerk with a mysterious past and a tall stranger following her. The last thing she needs is to have an armed robber tell her the location of 2 million dollars in loot before he commits suicide. The other crooks involved are convinced that Lynn knows where the money is while the police know she was listening to loud music on her headphones and couldn't here a word.

As luck would have it an embittered cop is designated to be her protector and after a few rolls in the sheets he finds out Lynn's ability to read lips (incredible co-incidence isn't it?). So plots and betrayals spring up on all sides and you never know who you can trust with two million on the loose.

You average TV movie. The most redeeming feature about the DVD is that there are no commercials. But I suppose that there are enough "Family Ties" fans out there to keep this one on the shelves for a while ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 90210 on DVD...please
As many of the other reviewer's have written, it's far past the time to have 90210 out on DVD. Series like Friends and Sex in The City, who have just ended, or haven't even ended yet, are out on DVD..what's the holdup? Watching the reruns on FX was okay for a while, but now they've started replacing them with reruns of other shows. Soon the series will be gone forever. If Aaron Spelling was smart, he'd release the rights and let the production of the complete series on DVD roll.

5-0 out of 5 stars beverly hills 90210
just about every single show is now released on dvd except 90210 and i still dont understand why..i watch it every single day..it's something i grew up with..it's basically the greatest of aaron spellings stuff so wouldnt the better stuff be released first? although since amazon does not have it and i'm too tired of waiting , i've been looking all over for 90210 and i think i might have found one company..not ppl from ebay but from a company..so i'm sure you all want to check it out if you havent already..the site is www.TVonDisc.com..it is only sold altogether and not seperatly..the full 10 seasons for $350.00..but i'm still skeptical so i wrote an email to them with questions but havent received anything back from them yet..so i will keep checking and let you know more and i hope you do the same for me..thank you

5-0 out of 5 stars Be Patient
We as fans have to wait until syndication is not profitable for the show anymore. They are still making money with it showing on FX. Once they money stops or slows down, hopefully they will come out with each season one after another! Until that point we just have to wait....

5-0 out of 5 stars BH 90210 - The Complete 1st Season
They really need to consider releasing these on DVD, I'm sure many fans from the ages of 17-30 would be very interested in these products, and let's face up....women between those ages make up the biggest merchandising market out there. I, for one, am HUGE on dvd collections, and I cherish mine. So many are starting to release now, and I love the fact that I can simply pop in a DVD now to watch my favorite shows or host my marathons of a certain tv show. I would definetly buy BH 9010, all seasons, if they were released!

5-0 out of 5 stars Beverly Hills 90210
Here it is! We have been waiting for this a decade or so. I wish the Studio could finally realise that this tv show created a trend in the 90's. Sometimes it is hard to believe that people can forget every guilty please they had. I am sure that there is hundreds and hundreds of people that saw this show and even though it may have been some kind of tv sin for some it is one of the best shows. I am eager to hear that the show is finally on DVD and we will be able to enjoy it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars They don't make 'em like they used to
Although I'm a 25 year old Israeli woman, born after the Vietnam war was over, and halfway around the world, this series touched me in a way most dramas didn't. Perhaps it was Dana Delaney's excellent dramatic acting, or the music, or any of the wonderful features of the talented crew that made this beautiful series possible, but I get the feeling that although I like new drama series like ER or The West Wing, I feel that John Wells has learned well, but not enough. China Beach had a certain something that other drama series did not. I'm no expert, so I can't put my finger on it, but whatever it was, I haven't seen it since, and I suspect I'll never see it again.

5-0 out of 5 stars DANA DELANEY IS CHINA BEACH ! ! ! ! ! !
This closest thing to a perfect show is my favorite series of all time. The actors were always excellent (w/the exception of Robert Picardo and Megan Gallagher....I don't know, but I just didn't like them very much). The show could not have been made w/out Dana Delaney. If it had it wouldn't be half as good. She is Colleen McMurphy...McMurphy is China Beach...Dana Delaney is the key. Her performance both comic and drmatic are so true to life. Her emotions of the war are so real it scares you into thinking that this is too real. She has such a wonderful gift. I hope we see more of her real soon.

WHY IS THIS SERIES NOT ON DVD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I find this a serieous omission. If anyone hears about it coming to DVD, please let me know by email! Thanks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Have tried for years to find this on video
I, too, would buy every episode of this terrific series. I agree Dana Delaney was great, but, in my view, it was really an ensemble show. Marg Helgenberger as KC and Brian Wimmer as Boonie and Michael Boatman and Robert Picardo and Troy Evans and Concetta Tomei and absolutely everyone else were just terrific. Also, the production values were excellent. I remember sitting there watching and noticing how fabulous the lighting and cinematography were. I don't think any other television show has touched me as much as this one. Please, please bring this out on DVD!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Writing, Great Acting...Give Us This Series On DVD!!!
I was a slow starter on this series when it originally aired. ABC basically killed any chances of the series picking up steam in the ratings by allowing "China Beach" to be shifted from one time slot to another, making it harder to keep up with. What a shame, the story lines and rich characters were worthy of much better treatment than they received.

It wasn't until a couple of years after ABC pulled the plug that A&E aired the entire series several times. I was able to finally see all the episodes I missed and I was HOOKED!! I truly believe that "China Beach" represents some of the best writing and acting I have ever seen in a television program--a very worthy effort that was never truly appreciated by the network PTB.

This series received tons of critical acclaim and was nominated for and received several Emmys. To my knowledge, it was never released in a VHS format--but it begs to be considered for release on dvd. PLEASE give the fans of "China Beach" the chance to see this series in format worthy of the talent that it represents.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent drama about Vietnam nurses, doctors, soldiers
This is the popular and much acclaimed "China Beach" TV series. Dana Delany has the role of her life playing Colleen McMurphy, a dedicated triage nurse in Vietnam. This is not a war action movie, but rather a drama about the lives of Vietnam soldiers and the nurses, Red Cross "Donut Dollies", and USO entertainers who are there for them. Dana Delaney is stunning in the role of McMurphy -- this alone would make this a classic. In addition, the deep respect and understanding shown for the Vietnam GI's sets this apart from most of the other Vietnam movies. This is a movie that people who weren't in Vietnam should watch to get a better appreciation for the men and women who served there. For those who were there, this movie is a token of respect and appreciation for your service. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I will be VERY disappointed!!
I am a huge fan of Dawson's Creek!I love the Pacey and Joey relationship.I have to admit that season six does not even come close to one of my favorite seasons, but it still has those few good episodes of Pacey & Joey together again.I have been faithful in purchasing every season as soon as it has been released & the series finale.I think it would be very wrong of the studio to release all of the seasons and not the final one.PLEASE hurry & release season 6!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Dawson's Creek
I love this show and I really will cry if the whole show doesn't get released! I was so happy when I saw the first shows come out! Anyone who has never really been interested in this show--the first couple shows are a little cheesy but as the show develops the actors really get into it and it defiantly resembles high school life!

3-0 out of 5 stars Disapointing
It's true, the final season of DC didn't satisfy our expectations: Joey Potter's character over-used, boring stories with teachers (as usual: season 1,5), and characters who are living their lives far away from each others... It breaks no agreement that the magic of the TV show kind of disapeared in this season, but some good episodes (601-2, 615, 621, 623-4) explain why i will buy this last season anyway...

2-0 out of 5 stars Aw-aw-awful!
This season, compared to the first four ones, is utter crap. Starting from season 5 all the characters and the things you loved about Dawson's Creek are destroyed one by one. There were some nice moments in season 5 though (Dawson & Jen at the film festival, Mitch's dead, the Joey-only episode). And even season 6 has such a nice moment. It's the episode #615/119 "Castaways" which locks Joey and Pacey in a supermarket at night where they find back together (and Pacey finally gets rid of his awful goatee!) I really recommend this episode where you can watch the two having fun playing the old Joey and Pacey. And far away from the season 6 reality the old magic is back again. Dawson's Creek just wasn't made to take place outside Capeside. The two final episodes are really good (and heart-breaking) too. The rest is better not spoken of.

OK, I just bought season 5 of Dawson's Creek the other day on DVD. What makes me mad is that so much stuff got cut out. With the new music & this time they went as far as to cut some scenes out, this is pathectic! Also, there is not one special feature in the set! Why are they putting such little effort into these DVDs? This was a great show, & them releasing these DVDs is a punch in the face for fans. I own the first five seasons & the series finale. I know that they can release these DVDs with the original music, they're going way too far & pretty much butchering the show. The sets say "complete" on them, that is not complete people, it's pretty much lying right on the cover. Season 6 better be an improvement, with music, scenes, & special features. I am writing this item 3 stars right now, but I do not know what exactly it will be like. But, looking at the other sets, I am predicting this to be yet another disapointment. I guess we'll see. ...
