5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Nickelodeon Classic Shows Ever!!!!
I love Clarissa Explains It All it was one of my favote Nickelodeon shows growing up.This show was wholesome & entertaining for childern of all ages & espeically teens. They should have the other Nickelodeon Tv Classics on DVD is Alex Mack & Are You Afriad Of The Dark. And I love Melissa Joan Hart that she did a great job playing Clarissa. Thanks for having Clarissa on DVD.I HAVE TO GET IT!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Paramount Does Good With Nickelodean Classic!!!
Forget everything that you've seen on Nickelodean in the last six or seven years, and take a remarkable journey into what Nick used to be: a classic sitcom. Memories stand in my mind of a happier time, when "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" was still showing new episodes and Lori Beth was still hitting the cocunts and giving us Vital Information on "All That." And somewhere in this brain of mine, I remember "Clarissa." A show about nothing that became a something in short time. This first season introduces us to the Darling family and, like most first season's, it starts off rocky but smoothes on through the next few years. Now, I can say "Clarissa" was not my all time favorite show, but the reason I am excited about this set is because it shows what might be in the not-so-distant future. However, on the whole, I think Paramount (our new-found leader in this TV-On-DVD obsessed world) has presented a great set that is easy to use and presents everything in a nice, orderly fashion. The mini-cases, which are now customary in these DVD sets, show descriptions for the episodes and features, and while the menus may be devoid of motion or special effects, they present to us the DVD's contents in a way that makes it easy to use. All in all, this set is a box of anticipation for what
Paramount's <-Rewind Collection my be sending our way in the future.

5-0 out of 5 stars Here It Is
On Saturday nights in the '90s, I was about 7-10. For these three years that stick out in my memory, I used to watch SNICKelodeon, with All That! Are You Afraid of The Dark? and many more classics! The weekday was just as great. We had Alex Mack, Allen Strange, and, of course, Clarissa! I only faintly remember this show, but I remember it was something great! I hope to buy more classics in this NICKELODEON REWIND collection, and hope Nick doesn't screw it up like they have their network! If $30(With S/H) is too high, try eBay. Presale auctions are still going on, and there's always a chance Amazon goes out of stock, making you wait longer for this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally!!! :)
Yay, Nickelodeon is finally bending to my whim!!Having grown up in the 90's, I think I saw every episode of Clarissa ever made more than once.I love all the Nickelodeon shows of that time and I am so glad that they are not going to be lost in oblivion.I know I sound like a dork, but I will be totally reliving my childhood, which is what every wavering college student needs to do every once and a while :) ... You know him as a tremendous movie star from "Booty Call," "The Players Club," "Bait," "Any Given Sunday" and "Ali." And when you watch his sold-out performance at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, California, you'll know him as one of the world's funniest comedians. Originally produced for HBO Television, this comedy special leaves no doubt that Jamie Foxx is at the top of his game! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny! Funny! Funny!
Jamie Foxx is my new hero of comedy. He's material is great, but, he uses his full energy (body, facial expressions, props) to tell the most hilarious story! I've seen it three times this week. This DVD is definitely a must have!

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I really love Jamie and I love to laugh and I don't mind crude or rude jokes, but I'm not all the way through this tape yet, and I can think of a million other things to watch or do before I finish this. I can't understand that someone needs to feel funny by using the 'f' word in each and every sentance. After a while it's no longer funny (if at all) and it becomes really annoying. Like I said, he's great usually, but this just didn't do it for me. Sorry Jamie

5-0 out of 5 stars THE MAN
JAMIE FOXX IS THE MAN I THINK THIS ONE IS REAL FUNNY I WENT AND SAW IT IN OAKLAND WHEN HBO WAS FILMING IT AND BEING THAT I SAW IT IN PERSON IT WAS BETTER THAN WATCHING ON TV BECAUSE THEY HAD 2 OTHER GUYS ON BEFORE JAMIE FOXX AND THEY WERE FUNNY AS HELL ALSO SO I GIVE THIS DVD THE BIG HI 5 .....................

1-0 out of 5 stars 1 star minus 1000! horrible crap. don't rent or buy it!!!!!!
this is typical a low-life stuff. not funny but contrite and dirty. jaimie foxx totally disappointed me with his going-no-where dirty jokes and his obscene gesture and behavior. he got nothing to deliver but some lousy re-runs of his past acting career. i've never seen any other comedian become so low and so tasteless. right before picking up this crap, i've got certain respect for this guy, but none existed after this 'i might need security', what a shame he tried to cash in with his fame but only delivered dirty but never funny crap. the audience sitting in the theater all seemed to be trying too hard to make their money worth, their laughs were all becoming tiresome after 5 minutes when jamie foxx did those unlaughable down and dirty stuff on the stage and repeated it again and again.
what a shame and what a shameless guy who's trying so hard to be funny but only turned out to be a low-life like street punk. shun away this one, if you got some wits.

5-0 out of 5 stars hilariously vulgar
This isn't something to watch with your family, but if you have a strong stomach for explicit sexuality at some parts, then it's impossible not to appreciate Jamie and end up in tears. I personally liked this much more than his other stand-up DVD, "Lost, Stolen, and Leaked." He talks a lot about his career as an actor, but it's not just the words but the physicality of his performance that makes him so hilarious and inimitable. I've tried to use his jokes myself, but his facial expressions and the way he says things are impossible to duplicate. In this way, Jamie definitely emotes much more on stage than, say, Jerry Seinfeld, whom I also like. But "I Might Need Security" is my favorite stand-up show yet. ... Read more

With routines from some of today’s hottest comedians, LATHAM ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS delivers Earthquake, an explosive performer whose ability to engage an audience with his straight-ahead humor has been heralded by critics; Bruce Bruce, who is best known for his adult comedy without vulgarity and derogatory remarks; Rickey Smiley, who has established himself as a clean comic with down home southern humor; Sommore, who is best known for her piercing looks at today’s issues which she delivers from the perspective of a woman who lives and loves life; D.L. Hughley, who has made an indelible impression in the feature film and primetime TV arenas most notably with his own sitcom, "The Hughleys;" and J Anthony Brown, whose funnyman antics are most often heard as co-host of the internationally syndicated "Tom Joyner Morning Show." ... 5-0 out of 5 stars NON-STOP Laughs!!!!!!!
Yes, you'll probably want to wait until the kids are sleeping to watch this... but then again if they're in the same house - you'll be waking them right back up from all the laughing you do! Every single comedian had us in tears - they were all HILARIOUS! Don't even think of renting this one... just BUY IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sooooooooooooooo Fuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnyyyyyyyy
This DVD has all the hottest African American comics around. I laughed throughout the whole show and then laughed some more after it was over. If you are into comedy, this is one DVD you can't be without.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I was so disappointed with this comedy video. I think I actually laughed at two of the jokes Rickey Smiley told about funerals. The jokes Bruce Bruce told were actually shown on the comedy channel so I had already seen his material. What I remember most about this video is the cursing. It was tooo excessive. I would not recommend anyone purchase this video borrow it from a friend or rent it at the video store

3-0 out of 5 stars 3 1/2 stars, actually
I really wanted to check this out because I love The Original Kings of Comedy, and I had heard routines from Earthquake and J.Anthony Brown that I liked. It was good, but The Kings Of Comedy is better.I was greatly dissapointed with J. Anthony Brown's performance. He did not tell any good jokes, all he did was cuss.D.L Hughley's performance was good, but I have heard better from this King Of Comedy.I am generally not a fan of black female comedians, but Sommore gives a very funny performance.Bruce Bruce gives a very funny performance also.I like the way he tells the audience that he leaves the stage, and then leaves.Rickey Smiley gives a decent performance. My favorite comedian on here is definitely Earthquake.I love is joke about Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.(You know how hard it is to find someone to cook your crack cocaine the way you like it?)Overall, this is good, but the Kings of Comedy is better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Martin
I think Martin is one of the best shows. And I know about 50 people who would buy this DVD as soon as it comes out.Whoever is reading this, please hurry and put Martin on DVD. This DVD will be a top seller. My daughter and I watch it every night on TV One.She is now recording it.Hoping it will come out soon on DVD.If you can put The Facts of Life, The Steve Harvey Show(which is one of my favorites also), and the OC on DVD surely, "Martin has to be on the top of the list very soon. Please, Please, Please, let us vote for "Martin".

5-0 out of 5 stars Girlfriends
This past year was the first time I had an opportunity to view the TV show "Girlfriends"and now I can't get enough, so I'm looking for the dvd's starting with the shows first episode.I can't find a thing so I'm assuming there is no new release.I like this TV show as much as I liked "Living Single"because it shows African American women living different lifestyles, all having their "ups" and "downs" like normal African American women without the behaviors of the sterotypic ghetto female.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why aren't the best TV shows ever on DVD as yet?
I find it sad that the first season of the "OC" can be on DVD in less than a year, yet classic shows like "Living Single," "Martin," "A Different World" and "New York Undercover" have yet to be given a chance.I remember when I started college that "A Different World" was on TV and I related so much to that show. I felt like they knew exactly what I was dealing with on my college campus. "Martin has to be the funniest TV show ever, yet the DVD manufacturers refuse to give it the respect that it deserves. "Living Single" showed black women in a positive light, not just being the typical rump shakers that you see on TV and videos. All of these shows made me laugh. I appreciated the writing and the issues that they dealt with. When can we finally be recognized in the DVD industry and be given a chance to view the shows that we liked? It's been almost 5 years already since these shows were on the air.How much longer do we have to wait?I can't relate to "Seinfeld," the "OC" or "Friends."I don't want a clip of one episode here and there.I want the entire epiosdes and seasons of each show.Every episode, every blooper, every cast and crew biography. As a willing and potentiaI consumer I think I deserve it.Why doesn't the industry?

5-0 out of 5 stars Living Single & Martin Lawrence Show
I check Amazon daily to see if the Martin Lawrence and Living Single shows have been released yet. I tell my son about these shows all the time and how funny they were. Can't wait to see them released on DVD.Please release on DVD.They were good wholesome fun and I truly enjoyed them. Please release!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The show is a MUST BE ON DVD!
I would be the first one in line to buy this show IF it was on DVD. I watch the re-runs every day on the Oxygen channel and glad to see that they have great taste in what should be aired. The show never has a dull moment, a great pick me up on those days when you need itand just andgreat show.SOMEONE needs to lobby to get this on DVD. Want proof? Do a search on google and see just how many people are asking for this, not to mention the petetions-I have personally signed 3. Come on, make this girl happy.Too bad I don't know Queen Latifah. Talk about a talented woman. ... Read more
