4-0 out of 5 stars Finally, the complete series is quickening to dvd
This show was sometimes great entertainment to me. Basically a dimestore romantic-adventure novel brought to life. I think the producers were mostly successful with providing something for everyone. The shows ranged from brilliantly written, to definitely a bit cheesey. The dvd collection is better than the vhs, however questions did arise quickly about it's quality. I think it was the 2nd episode on disc one, when the disc appeared to be sort of freezing up for a minute. I hit FF for a second, and it was fine again. ( This was with a brand new dvd player ) Since that occurance, I have not yet run into any other problems; although I've only watched 1/3 ofthe discs. I did have a couple other little gripes about these dvd's, but nothing too serious. I would have preferred more than three episodes on a disc...a typical season for ex. has NINE discs-three unfolding booklets of 3 discs, which all fit into this 1/2 box...I wasn't too crazy about that at all. There is however a lot of content within them if you like bloopers and interviews and watcher chronicles...I do and I don't.. I mean, it's tough enough to watch all 6 seasons..I really don't need boxes hoggin up all my shelf space just so studios get extra market value-which is also why it took em so long to go over to dvd's, and why it's off the air. Nevertheless, I do still appreciate the Highlander phenomenon. It's solidly entertaining while it also demonstrates virtues that I like. I can live without the Duncan Macleod boxer shorts though, and the pillows with kissy lips, and the rest of the merchandising extraveganza. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best series ever made

3-0 out of 5 stars Misleading (esp. for people new to Highlander)
Ok, so this i probably mostly my own fault for not having done the proper research on it before I purchased it, but when I saw the DVD Highlander "Finale", I was expecting an individual release of the actual final episode of Highlander: The Series. Naturally, I was quite disappointed when I found it to actually be the season finale from year three...which I already have on DVD because I own the complete season boxed set.
However, I give this three stars despite that setback due solely to the fact that being a part of the Highlander series it is naturally a wonderful piece of action/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy storytelling.
If you already own season three you can probably skip this release (unless you are set on having every Highlander DVD that's produced). If not, then I recommend giving this release a shot.

3-0 out of 5 stars Stepfanie Kramer is hot !
Ms Kramer has always been a gifted actress, and this movie only scratches the surface of her imense talents...still, she is so beautiful to watch, and she is so hot in this film! Sexy love scenes with Scalia.Even with the limited material, Stepfanie manages to jump off the screen. She can hold her own against the best of the best as far as Im concerned.

4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining cop movie for Scalia lovers
Quite an entertaining movie for a low production film. A "must see" film for Jack Scalia fans. He looks "HOT" in this film and is very sexy. There are several "steamy" love scenes that shocked me never having seen an R rated film with Scalia in it. Overall he does a good acting job playing a character that's rather twisted. One huge negative about this movie is the music. It's obnoxious and very dated.

4-0 out of 5 stars TC Review
Beyond Suspicion was an entertaining movie, it's not going to win any awards but Stepfanie Kramer looked great and the plot was well done. If your a Stepfanie Kramer fan then it is well worth watching.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good story but poor production.
I like movies about airplanes and because of that I have several of these movies and one of those is this one.
The cover and the tittle of the movie make you think it's good but there's nothing good in it.
The story is interesting but what makes the movie very bad, is the poor, poor production. The set that it's supposed to be a Boeing 747 with 400 people looks like a very small plane (you'll only see inside the airplane like 25 people during the whole movie). The special effects are terrible, you'll see the airplane fyling but no with a close image and you'll see it like for 2 seconds. The airplane that they use changes from name and colors all the time, then when something good is going to happen they just change the image and put the sound so they wouldn't make a scenery for that scene. Anyway if you like a good movie, just don't get this one, you'll get bored because as I said. The story is interesting but the special effects are so bad that you'll get bored.
Finally I'd like to say that I don't understand how Kate Jackson (Charlie's angels) acepted to be in this low budget movie with all the success that she had in her career.

1-0 out of 5 stars total utter nonsense!!!!!!
this is pure drivel!!!!!clearly there was some kind of argument behind this film;like the director wasnt given enough money to make it,so he thought, you know what,im going to spite the film company by making a hideousely awful film, that'll show them.the "plot",if i can re-tell it without vomiting,is thus:a plane is struck by lightning, and kills all the pilots..............i kind of lost what was going on after that......the ending,if there actually was one,was that whatever predicament they were in,they got out of.where can i begin?????clearly no one involved with this project has any knowledge of basic physics,as they'd have pointed out that this ISNT POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!im a little bit rusty on my physics, but isnt it called a faraday coil???if not then forgive me,my minds a little indestinct, but the main point is a bolt of lightning wont pass through a plane. "what about the glass,it passed through the glass window!!!" you bark smugly, well thick glass used for this wouldnt allow electric current to pass through it.think about it people, you ever been hit by lightning indoors??have you ever heard of this happening in real life before??NO,BECAUSE IT CANT!!!!!! well done, you're learning.anyway, enough of the banter, the film struggles from then on in.for some bizzare reason the plane operated by a laptop, the cable(??!!) for which has broken.it only works by some guy holding it with venom.factor into this some wierd pregnant woman type nonsense, some shouting passengers/helpful people arguing rubbish,a hint of romance between a "criminal" and a "female human being",and you have this godawful tripe of a film.some wonderfully hilarious moments.guy says "i skipped bail","are you a criminal?" she asks!!!!!! well of course he is you stupid fool,he just told you!!!! any time there was "turbulence" the camera was wobbled about a bit,and the "actors" moved around unconvincingly.the terrible news report segments, where hilarity prevailed every time.the bit when the dog jumped out the car, that was brilliant!!!!he pushed it over a bit then it was half dead...then later he gave the oxygen mask, great!!!!! all the scenes involving the radar room, they were something else!!!!the ending also, the rubbish CGI aeroplane, what a laugh!!!!i could go on and on and on,pointing out rubbish but funny things about this film, but i think ive said enough.in short, dont come to watch this if you want a coherent engaging film.but if you enjoy laughing through mind-bogglingly bad trash, then this is definately for you!!!! i laughed nearly all the way through it,so at least it was entertaining.1 out of 5.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Expect Too Much
You may enjoy this movie, if you know nothing about the airplane, or if you are extremely weak for machinery.
This movie has no reality from the beginning to the end.
Plot is poor.
I do not recommend this.

2-0 out of 5 stars What could have been good went downhill from the start!
While films about airplane disasters and hijackings have gotten more and more unpopular, this is probably a good example of why. When I saw the ad for this on TV, I thought "oh cool, lightning strikes a plane... must be some interesting story"... WRONG! The film is not at all believable. The outside shots of the plane differ throughout the movie.. I think I counted 3 different styles. A laptop controlling a 747? A wire hanging through the cabin after the lightning forces the plane to react violently?

I'm a fan of the Airport films, and I liked recent ones like Executive Decision, the first Turbulence movie, and a few others in this genre. But this film was a big disappointment. Kate Jackson's performance was credible, but the remaining cast was pretty terrible. There's too many plotholes and credibility faults to recommend this film. If you want a good air-scare film, check out one of the Airport films or one of the ones I mentioned.

I give this film 2 stars because, while it did have too many faults and isn't really worth watching when there are other films to choose from, the film had it's few moments of holding my attention.

Check out another air disaster movie if you want to have an enjoyable experience!

5-0 out of 5 stars double trouble
Royce Air International, flight 115 to London Heathrow is in trouble.A lighting strikes the cockpit during take off causing an electral fire which kills the pilot[Fred Henderson]and the rest of the flight crew.Laurie Ann[Kate Jackson]is forced to help the pasengers as she and Brett Young[Ed Marinano]race to engage the auto pilot. But when the aircraft starts to head west, the plane begins to lose fuel fast. On the ground the athorities must choose to shoot the plane down over a deserted area or try to find a solution before the plane crashes in a populated city causing 1,000 more deaths. With no radio contact can they save the 747-300 from disaster? ... Read more

I just sort of stumbled onto the low-budgeted, popular kung-fu action series, BLOODFIST. Mind you, after Bloodfist II, these movies bare no connection to each other, so after Bloodfist II, it really doesn't matter what order you watch them in.
Bloodfist IV:Die Trying was the first one I saw, and let me tell you, it quite literally kicks [rear-end]. Don "The Dragon" Wilson isn't as bad of an actor as his reputation might suggest, and he makes a very impressive action star. Every last fight in all the Bloodfist movies is fantastic, and Die Trying is no exception. The best one here is withou a doubt the one in the room full of tear gas. I own the first four Bloodfist movies, and
Bloodfist VII:Manhunt, and I'm relentlessly hunting down Bloodfist V:Human Target and Bloodfist VI:Ground Zero on the internet, as well as some of Wilson's other flicks, like Blackbelt and The Capitol Conspiracy. Trust me, if you enjoy the high kickin' performances of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, or if your'e familiar with legends like Bruce Lee, or his son Brandon Lee, Don "The Dragon" Wilson is right up your alley, and the Bloodfist series is a great place to start.

4-0 out of 5 stars B-Grader with punch...
Okay, Im not really a martial-arts fan, fans of this movie, and I know they exist, will split into 2 camps. Fans of martial arts in particular Don Wilson, and bewitched male fans of female martial arts star Catya Sassoon, now tragically the late Catya Sassoon. The storyline is formulaic, Wilson works as a repo-man tied to a car junk-yard, and uses his martial-arts prowess to deal with occasional difficult clients who dont want their car repossessed. One day, during a car repo, Wilson encounters a tough customer in the category, a guy twice Wilsons size who is also a formidable martial-artist, and a mob-henchman as it turns out. This is certainly a good fight, right here, the second of many in the movie, the fights, to me, are convincing, Wilson and his opponents are all 1st class fighters. Wilson wins this one , after taking many hits, but the BMW he repos contains something of great value to a very nasty ruthless criminal gang with big plans. Wilson returns to his workplace later after dropping off the BMW earlier, to find his workmates and boss dead or dying, the gang he crossed with this particular repo have dropped by, his young daughter is tracked down and kidnapped as collateral for the as-yet unrecovered mob property, and Wilson embarks on a bloody bare-knuckles oddysey to recover her, aided by a GOOD woman, Amanda Wyss.
Now, there is also a BAD woman, deliciously shaking-hands bad, Lisa, played by Catya Sassoon, a martial artist, and star of 'Angel Fist'. In that, she was good, well, in BloodFist4, she finds her calling, is a ruthless tough high-kicking switchblade-slashing killer who steams up the screen and steals the show if you are a good boy who dreams of bad ladies, let me tell you. Wilson clashes with her twice, once when she impersonates an agency baby-sitter, and again right at the end, where they stage the films final martial-arts fight.Shortly prior to this, she disposes of two redundant mob goons by suddenly drawing her switchblade and slashing them as she shows them to the door, smiling evilly as they crumple gasping in front of her.She enjoys her work. In this scene, she is in black costume with thigh-high stilletto-heeled boots, with switch-blade tucked into boot. Did I mention she has a killer body, no pun intended? Anyway, she jumps Wilson running through a doorway and heaps some one-sided punishment on him, lots of high-kicks with those boots, a nice head-kneeing to a staggered Wilson, and at the climax, a ball-busting booted groin-kick with Wilson pinned against the wall, then, drawing her switchblade for the coup-de-grace, the tide tragically? turns........
Catya had cult-figure potential, based on this movie, I would have loved a rewrite remake with A.) more Catya action B.) better lighting, the final fight Ive described takes place in dark-lit gloomy background and with her dark attire, you are robbed of some detail.
To sum up, the story-line is familiar, the acting and script very ordinary though Ive seen worse, the fights are brutal and well-staged/well fought, but evil Lisas scenes may have you wearing out the rewind/slomo of your vcr....and even have you rooting for the baddie-ess. I did.

3-0 out of 5 stars SNOW WHERE TO GO
AVALANCHE ALLEY is one of those movies that you enjoy because of the awesome scenery and the extreme snowboarding. The plot in this one is fairly simple, if slant: A ski lodge is undergoing financial difficulties and owner Ed Marinaro decides his wife can turn things around by encouraging snowboarding, the youthful way to re-establish the lodge. Current manager Nick Mancuso is an alcoholic, jealous of the wife, and so he convinces Marinaro that the wife is having an affair with Ski Patrol Captain Wolf Larson. Meanwhile a group of teeny boppers decide to go against Larson's advice and snowboard down a slope that is in danger of succumbing to an avalanche. Sooo..one night the bad boys and girls sneak up the slope, Larson and Marinaro's wife go to plant bombs to cause a controlled avalanche...they spot the snowboarders, try to warn them, etc., etc., avalanche comes and its up to Marinaro and one of the youths (Simon) to save the day. The movie tends to drag at times, but it does manage to keep you on the edge of your seat. We feel for Loren as she lies trapped beneath the snow and ice, desperately trying to free herself and the final avalanche is CGI impressive. Of all the actors, only Tobias Mehler (Wishmaster 3) as Simon is enjoyable to watch and his comic relief and devotion to a cause are well captured.
Not a great movie, but fun to spend a few minutes with.

1-0 out of 5 stars Why do we waste our time on such?!
This movie was NOT a good movie. Don't even bother wasting your time on it. Why are such movies made? I don't know. It was a big waste of time, money and film and I'm glad that the theater price wasn't paid. It just isn't a good movie worthy of watching. We also need cleaner movies, and this one doesn't qualify. It is just not worthy of time or energy.

I did.

1-0 out of 5 stars MADE FOR GERMAN TV
This films has a feel of a pop-star "vehicle", in this case the celebrity being Peter Maffay, a German heavy metal stud from the 80's. The film is typical of the drugs and Mafia fare covered so well in Holliwood. The story concerns a German cop, who uncovers organized crime in a big city and an evil mastermind, who wants to take over the criminal underworld. To make the matters worse, the organized crime conspiracy remains vague and abstract, unlike the Balkan, Turkish and East European gangs that were ripping the German society apart at the time this film was made, and that in a liberal society, where prostitution was legal. The film is trying to be the German equivalent of that American 70's street sleaze classic, Vice Squad, starring Wings Hauser and Season Hubley. In brief, the film breaks no new ground (to US viewers), suffers from low budget production, clumsy and amateur stuntwork, and lack of good acting or dialogue to make up for the first two shortcomings. Only buy it if you are a Peter maffay fan or if you are interested in German cinema. ... Read more
