5-0 out of 5 stars This set is the BEST!!
I ordered the set of 5 dvd's through the actual striptease website on Feb. 12 and I received my dvds on Feb 23. I started using the tapes on the 24th and as of today (March 4) I have only lost 7 lbs but I have lost several inches. I have been using the #2 dvd "Fit to Strip" everyday and do all of the routines, which lasts about an hour from start to finish.
I have tried tae bo and other workout tapes, but I didnt like them at all...I had a tough time keeping up, and watching those size 2 girls doing those perfectly choreographed routines without breaking a sweat just made me feel worse.
I decided to only use the #2 dvd for now for my own personal reasons...I want to get into shape before learning the other dvds, but that is just my preference but I have watched the other dvds and I CAN'T WAIT to start using them...but first things first!!
I have read some reviews where people complain that Carmen and Michael stop to get a drink and towel off...and that is true, but it is a 10 second interval between routines...it isn't like they do it during the routine...and I for one am thankful for those 10 seconds so I too can get some water and get ready for the next set of exercises.
I also like this dvd because you see Carmen make some mistakes, and it lets you know she is human and also you see them sweat and breathing hard too, so you don't feel so bad. Michael lets you know it is ok if you can't keep up, to just try your best and you can always come back to it. These exercises are so much fun, and you feel them the next day, but the sore muscles are actually a wonderful feeling because you know the exercises are working.
Another thing I like is they work you really hard, then when you think you can't last another second, he slows things down...the exercises are no less effective, but it gives you a chance to cool down and catch your breath, and then you are right back to working hard again. Here is a quote from an article I read by a very well known fitness expert, about why it is very beneficial for an exercise program to have this quality of speeding things up and slowing down..."During all of my workouts, I do interval training, in which I alternate bursts of speeding up and slowing down throughout the workout. If I'm running, I might walk for three minutes, slowly jog for five, walk for three and then run really fast for five minutes. If you add periods of intensity to your workouts, you will rev up your metabolism, which helps you stay toned and slim. You also demand more energy from your body when you stop and start, which ultimately burns more calories, thereby making intervals one of the best ways to train."
You have instructors that actually come off as human, exercises that work and are fun, and it helps you lose weight and targets your whole body. What more can anyone ask for in a workout? I completely recommend this set to anyone!

4-0 out of 5 stars A great workout, and SOOO much fun!
I just joined Weight Watchers, and I have begun the hard journey to weight loss. When you are overweight, you NEVER feel sexy. But, this program really helped me discover that side of myself, and I had a blast doing it! Carmen is great, and I felt as though I was working out with a friend. I tried some of the routines on my man, and they work great (wink, wink!) If your goal is to tone up and have fun, this is the one for you! Also, the Fit to Strip DVD is great for your body to tone up, you'll look great for swimsuit season! If I could fault anything about this workout, I would say that DVD 3 could have been on DVD 1. It is the same sort of routine, but with costumes. The other four DVDs are all great though! I HIGHLY recommend this DVD to anybody who wants to feel sexy and tone up! Thank you to Carmen and the creators of Aerobic Striptease!

5-0 out of 5 stars IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOURS- LET ME KNOW!!
I'd be very interested in buying this set off of anyone who is not satisfied with theirs and would like to sell! Let me know!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Beginner Level Kickboxing
This is strictly a beginner kickboxing workout. It is fun, and has great motivating music. Especially when you put it through your stereo speakers using the DVD. Amy Acuff looks a bit lost and uninspired here, and the instructor Allan is unpeasantly condescending to her. He is a good instructor, and if I were to guess, I would say he is upset that she gets higher billing than him. And, maybe rightly so, but unprofessional of him nonetheless. The workout is easy to follow, and will get you sweating if you put some effort into it. This really is a fun workout, but I have a hard time dealing with his attitude, and it detracts from the whole workout for me. Probably, the workout itself deserves 5 stars for beginners, 4 stars for people who are a bit beyond that, but it lost a star or two for the reasons mentioned.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T EVEN BOTHER
IT'S VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET INTO THID WORKOUT. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I LOVE THE GRIND WORKOUTS, BUT WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT. FIRST OF ALL THE MUSIC IS HORRIBLE, AND THE CAMERA ANGLES KEEP CHANGING. IT MAKE THE WORKOUT VERY HARD TO FOLLOW CAUSE YOU CAN'T REALLY SEE WHAT THEY'RE DOING. ALL AROUND DISAPPOINTMENT

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your money.
I bought this DVD because I thought that MTV could put together a fun and exilarating workout video. But the moves are complicated/awkward and they are hard to follow. They don't give you much time to figure them out. And, you are always doing the reverse of everyone. One thing that was aggrevating was when they change a scene, you are expected to keep moving, but the music changes or dissapears for a few seconds. And sometimes, people in the video move offbeat. The editing is horrible. The camera doesn't stay focused on one "good" person. The guest is flimsy and can't do the moves accurately. She doesn't even look like she's trying. Overall it's a horrible DVD. Don't waste your money.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fashinably what?
I didn't purchased the dvd on Amazon but at borders. The cover looks nice, but the quality of the dvd isn't up to par. The editing is horrible, Amy whatever-her-last-name-is was extremely annoying. Everytime the camera went to her and I tried to follow her moves I realized that my motion wasn't in sic with the main instructor. She doesn't seem to know what she is doing. She is merely taking up space. Her small talk was out of place. I'm glad that she was not part of the background (she had her own little corner to the side). If she was she would have been too distracting. Oh and she wasn't the only one who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Everyone seem to go off and did their own variations of what the moves were just to supplement. I was extremely annoyed by the blonde woman in the corner. Too much make-up on for working out, maybe?

I think the instructors queing made it difficult to follow him. Keep in mind that there is no mirror image instructions. When he says to go right and you go right, on the tv he's actually moving to your left. So I couldn't really follow what he was doing. I had to adapt.

If you can get pass the above mentioned then it was an okay workout. It did get your heart pumping but this is an easy workout. Not fast pace at all, and my heart level never reached my cardio zone. Good addition to working out, but don't use this soley to lose weight. Try "Solid Gold" instead.
And if you can try tae bo.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners
In a sea of excercise videos, I thought this one looked appealing - I have to admit I was swayed by the music though!! I am a former dancer and I was surprised by how confused I was trying to follow the instructor. However, by the end of the video, I was sweating and feeling pretty good that I got through most of the routine without kicking myself! Fun and fairly quick, I would recommend to those who haven't worked out in awhile and want something new to add to their old collection. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Grind Workout: Tai Funk Aerobics
MTV's latest edition of the "The Grind" series is clearly their best. The creative nature of adding yet another new twist (hunky boy band C Note) to work out and sing with MTV's hottest host/trainer Heidi VanAmburgh is exciting and new. VanAmburgh has an unbelievable repoir with the boys from C Note combined with her gorgeous looks and funky dance moves make this video a "must see". This video is at times challenging and not for the novice aerobics individual, but the self defense segment at the end of the video is very good and practical for all. MTV has really picked a superstar in Heid VanAmburgh, she makes the whole video!

5-0 out of 5 stars Try it, it's something different and fun
I have been doing kickboxing for a long time and it can get very boring. I did this video and it gave me new inspiration because it added the element of fun as well as being a good cardio workout. Anyone can count 8 punches but add in a dance move (they are easy to follow) and you'll see how much more fun it is. I love the people in it too! The trainer Heidi has alot of great energy and the guys from cnote look like they are having a blast. I got a great workout once I got the routine and having all those cool people to watch helped motivate me. I also really liked the self defense segment at the end. Unlike other videos like Tae Bo this one actually shows you what the martial arts moves are supposed to do in real life. That makes so much more sense to me! I have ordered tons of workout videos and this is my favorite. Good Job Heidi,Cnote and dancers!

3-0 out of 5 stars Hotttttttttt Young Men, but....
That now is my main attraction to the tape because the instruction is so well-done it drags onnnnnnnn and onnnnnnnn... However it is an interesting, unique concept - the mixture of dance and gentle martial arts moves, but... there's too much talking and not enough moving. It takes forever to gain momentum then when you nail the sequence they move on to the next endlessly-long break-down of instruction. This tape does have a great *fun* engergy level, it's sexy, and if you like gazing at male 20-somethings in their resplendent, physical prime, it's hard to go wrong. In fact...even when I'm mentally critquing this tape's bad points, I'm praising the physical beauty that abounds. Men, men, men.

Some of the moves are very intriguing, challaging, and the concept is grand but the usefulness points are few and far between. You basically stand around and 'wait' in this one. If they would have grouped instruction from actual routines it would made all the difference in pace and satisfaction.

Buy it as either an innocent, sexual novelity or a tape to provide a very-occasional physical work-out diversion when you want to practice extreme patience or Disney's version of a high school gym atmosphere when the cheerleaders and jocks are at their best (said with a grin).

4-0 out of 5 stars I Loved It
This video was kind of hard at first, but once I got the routine down, I absolutely loved it. I love to dance and this workout was more like a dance than any exercise video I had ever done before. Plus, I lost about 10 lbs., after about 4-5weeks of doing it 4 days a week. So, if you love to dance this one is definitely one for you!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun
If you have some dance experience, this is a good video. I felt like I got a good work out, and I had fun doing it. I didn't find the self defense section very useful. Self-defense is better learned in a class with a live instructor. If you like to dance you'll like this video. ... Read more
